The T1R is very pressure sensitive.

    +1 on T1-R's. Enjoying mine.

    Best 16" Track Tyre

Over a couple of years, will work out cheaper to get some crappy 15's to stick track rubber on.

what is so special about the trophy setup?

I've been down both paths. I'm enjoying the 172 more than the Trophy. Better seats/brakes/steering wheel. Suspension isn't there yet, but will be soon. I'd keep the 172 and spend some money on it.

My mate got this Golf for his 18th...

Lucky boy! TBF, it's not anything ludicrous like a powerful rwd car.

Upgraded to a clio trophy this morning...

From what I've been told on here, the dampers require a mortgage to purchase.

Upgraded to a clio trophy this morning...

Be careful. Suspension on those badboys costs £12000 if it fails.

    new seats and harnesses ...

Yes. Yes I can. It's an abomination. It looks like a 2 yr old was let loose with a few tins of paint. I'd go as far as too say it looks as chavvy as Lusty.

    Keeping The Trophy - WOOP!!

    From the pics/info, it's a minter.

    Buying Suspension

From what I've heard, Vmaxx are a good option. £400 standard, there was a group buy that got them for £305 delivered. I think they are trying to organise another group buy. Not meant to be harsh or crashy, very well damped.

    Factory Fitted Recaros 172/182

I'd rather get a cheaper 182, and then sort the seats myself. The Trendlines aren't that supportive, and the driving position isn't a massive improvment.

    Keeping The Trophy - WOOP!!

I think you mean the gimmicky-suspension. Good news fella, shame about the ph1 though.

    new seats and harnesses ...

I like RX7's, but don't get the JDM thing at all. If someone sticks the same junk on an astra etc it's labelled chav. Just because it's Jap makes it cool? Not IMO. There were some pics of a purple/yellow rx7 posted the other day, absolutely hideous. Awful.

    Black Ph2 172-47k miles

Very cheap, given the mileage and that the belts have been done.

Just assuming had fluid done at the same time.

    Why not call ktec?
  28. ForceIndia

    Dogbone mount

IIRC it's just the bushes in that kit, they press into your current mount, so should be fine.

    Very dangerous problem!!

If just fitted, sounds like they didn't bleed them after.
