market for 1.2s...

ive been browsing recently to see how much 1.2 ph2 clios would fetch back.. they are all over the place ranging from £2.000 min to £4000 max.. ive taken mileage and everything into account and still can work out a rough figure of how much i would get if i decide to sell...

basicaly a 1.2 dynamique model mk2 PH2 with facelift bumper some call it the PH3 shape. 45k, if i decide to sell then it would be back to bog standard. how much can i fetch?

I sold my black 1.2 dynamique, 28k miles, was an 04 plate, just had a service and aux belt, FSH, loads of tax and test etc.

Was mint apart from a scuff on the bumper and a small dent in the door.

I sold it 6 months ish ago for £3700, and by all of the calls etc that I got for it I priced it too low.
I think the prices will have held well to be honest due to cheap to run.

£3700!! god thats cheap... but considered ive bought mine for £4000 i hope i dont lose out too much... its an 04 too... what do you mean its got a new belt? at 28k??

Got the aux belt changed, was 3 years old, and got the 32k service done on it too. I think the mileage was right, can't remember!

Yeah the damage made me think people wouldn't offer much, must have had 100 calls in a week but sold it the night after I advertised it to the first viewer!

To be honest I don't know, maybe advertise it for £4k if the body etc is mint, but expect anything above £3.5k?

I sold my dci about 7 months ago for £4500, when I sold it I thought I could have perhaps got more for it. But the guy that came to see it wanted the car. If he hadn't have come I'm not sure others would have been so eager. (Working in London so the exemption from the congestion charge was a big bonus for him).

I bought my 1.2 16v 2005 dynamique 18700 miles and got a spare alloy wheel brand new with it and full tank of gas for £4100 that was in june this year.

i px'd mine a couple months ago ph3, 34k, fsh well looked after imo, well the best i could, with no tax (well to reclaimed it)
4100, its for sale for 4495, i pail 4600 for it 18months earlier.
the market for small cheap economica cars is strong (well compaired to the rest of the market) but the probs with selling is that apparent;y alot of people are shunning private sales infavor of trade because they get warranty and what piece of mind that brings, and they are willing to pay more from them.
