Thats how my 182 looks nearly!!! I hope i can achieve something like that!!!! Was that just the PO106FA on its own? How long does it take to get that level of finish?
Cool can't wait!
I have the first week off in july so it gives me something to do! Once i have (hopefully!) the desired finish would say EGP top it off?
Cool. I give up trying to correct it by hand, its just too hard going! Is B/G a pretty hard finish? ........ ie as a pc virgin i won't damage the finish as long as i'm careful?! I'm reading the guides on detailing world as we speak ;)
Thread highjack! I have just purchased a PC (couldn't wait lol) I have also bought Menzerna Intensive Polish (PO85RD 3.02) and Menzerna Final Finish PO106FA. Would this be a good combo in your opinion for use on a Black Gold 182 with pretty bad swirling?
bleach ;)
Nah something like autoglym extragloss protection is fine. Its a paint sealant thats very durable, and long lasting. I used it my my turinis and they came up fine :)
looking around mine...... 182 cupped, the hubs are different, wishbones, suspension (including springs) wheels and driveshafts are all 'marked' with a purple pen. I would imagine these are the different parts over a standard 182.
Yeah dont under sell it. 8k starting price, seehow it goes. Peeps on here think they can only sell on here and piston heads..... look in the trader local to you. Thats what i do, a lot of people dont like traveling too far to buy a car. I will only ever travel up to an hour max
Shims were removed. On my old cup we had to remove about 2mm off each end as they wouldnt fit even without the shims. With these new ones i had fitted to my 182 at the weekend they fit fine untill it was time to bolt up the caliper housing. Piston wound fully back, be we couldn't get the housing...
f**k me. Had a set fitted to mine at the weekend, had to grind some off the side of the pad as the caliper wouldn't fit over them to bolt up!!!. Shocking for the price of them. The tollerence on them is way out! The brakes even binded slightly when fitted, due to how much compound is fitted to...
See i'm not so sure. The power delivery is smoother in the 197, hense why it doesn't 'feel' as quick. The 172's feel brutish as they are pretty unrefined etc. On a track standard v's standard will suprise a few doubters. ;)
