Me and a mate have had a 197 and my 182 side by side for comparason (both standard). They are nip and tuck, the 182 *might* have just shaded it, but were are talking fack all really. Very nice car the 197 mind. Will be my next car i think :)

Yes but no slower, which 90% of this forum thinks. They are wrong. Once 197's appear on tracks with 182's etc, you will see ;)

Its not slow, which is the cliosport myth.

It may 'feel' quicker, but did you drive one side by side a 172/182? A 197 is more refined, so the sensation of speed is lost. I have driven a 197 along side a 182 and there is nothing in it. Its a myth.

We are going to disagree here for the first time ;)We had it up against my 182 and there was NOTHING in it! All you haters are wrong, they are an awesome bit of kit, and i will deffinately be getting one! Looks are awseome, much more purposeful than the mk2 phase 2 range

Your car makes me jealous :( Mine is getting there (B/G also) still slight swirling though in direct sun. I think its had 18 months of machine washes :( I need a pc!!! Looking good! :)

lol, Well just sold up! Mate steve really wanted one (he looks after my cars) I offered it him, he wanted it lol. Very nearly got a trophy, but dont really like the colour tbh, so went for a Black Gold 182 with cup packs. Certainly doesn't feel as lively as the cup, but a few tweeks shall...

Tell me about it. Has alot of swirls that i'm dealing with slowly (by hand a few panles at a time lol).. dont have a PC yet, but its inevitable!!!
