thing is though i dont think the standard system is that restrictive..... look at all the people on here who've had replacement exhausts.... had it rolling roaded before and after, and actually lost power
granted its made from kitkat wrappers, but for the harmonics of the engine etc its good imo.
Re: Sooooo f**king angry with mytyres.com
hmmmm well you snooze , you lose?
not as if they were ordered, then half way through they bumped up the price?
my car was fine untill it had the cambelt done last year. (drivers side moun needs to come off/apart) So got my mate who works for renault to adjust the drivers mount as said above, and press in the ktec bushes, i get NO knocking at all, and it gets raped pretty much daily
good choice, look on the ktec website, i'd also reccomend some bilstien shocks too, not that pricey either. be well sorted then

are you changine the dog bone due to the knocking/banging in 1st?
imo you are better adjusting the drivers side mount, slacken it off, 'pull' the engine as far forward as you can, then whilst the engine is still in this position, re-do up the mount, that should work
shouldn't have any rattling, you should have a rubber 'cushion' on the car side of where the spring mounts. If your running coilovers, the bottom of the springs just sit on the adjusters
try it down a b road, giving it some beans.... I very nearly sold my car a couple of months ago, it all went back to standard. The O.E set up was an eye opener (sp).... alot less fuss, and imo covered more ground quicker. Food for thought.
raising mine
i'd dissconnect the battery too... (seatbelt pre-tensioners)
Bolts are at underneath the car. Two rubber caps nearest the sills (deep 13mm socket needed) and the other two are under the exhaust heat sheild near the handbrake assembly
repeat for both sides
i've been thinking the same, mine is super low.... fine around town and looks the danglies!!BUT, throw it down a bumpy back lane, and imo the standard setup is better. Up she goes this weekend i think!!!!
