    De Cat Pipe Legal?

It's a minefield. AFAIK it's a grey area, it's not legal on the grounds of mot etc, which is true. But, you can pass an mot with the decat on. So, if you pass the mot with the decat on (the decats not an mot fail, only emmisions can be), where do you stand??

    R26, R27 or Trophy?

Agreed. An old audi s4 would destroy all the above cars, but be dull in doing so. It's about enjoyment.

    Quite interesting

Grip, grip and more grip. Think the dci meg would be a great everyday car.

    new car...zetec s or 1.6 clio?

Keep the 1.2 for a year. You'll lose less in depreciation than the other cars mentioned, build the no claims up and buy a 1*2 in a years time.

    Le Mans Testing Crash

I suppose if your slipstreaming the car in front, not going to get any downforce on the front, but still get it on the back.

    Bye bye 182 Cup

182cups are probably the hardest RS to sell, no real benefit over a FF182 with cup packs.

:oi'm not mentioning the word trophy for at least a week!

    R26, R27 or Trophy?

Better car, not hot hatch. Each to there own, love the Trophy, but in all honestly I'd swap it in a second for a mk2 Vee, even though I'd enjoy driving it less. Think I'm turning into a Trophy-bore.

But, as everyone knows, should of bought an s2000 really.

    R26, R27 or Trophy?

I wish, parked next to a dynamique and mine's slightly higher. I defy anyone to go out with someone who knows what they're doing, on a nasty b road and not be blown away. Steve scared me shitless, I nearly asked him to stop!

    R26, R27 or Trophy?

Was not expecting the Trophy to be that good TBH. Drove Steve's 2-3 weeks ago, started looking that day for a car, picked it up on thursday. My dad's considering selling his amv8 for one. Ridiculous little car.
  21. ForceIndia

    R26, R27 or Trophy?

No, because a Trophy out handles a Cup. Flawed logic re lap times. A new model, with more power, close ratio box, wider tyres, wider track, better brakes. Shows what weight does. And TBH the reason I didn't bring lap times up is that they aren't that relevant, it's more about the experience...

    R26, R27 or Trophy?

Very similar size wise, and only 100kg difference between them. The reason the R26 feels chunkier to drive is the LSD, which is the reason it'll drop any hot hatch on a b-road. For me it's a no brainer. Need space and want the quicker car=R26 Not too fussed with space but want a nimble quick...

    R26, R27 or Trophy?

Then (if I were you) and you prefer the R26, probably between that and the Trophy.
  25. ForceIndia

£10k ish to spend what would you get??

Just for info, my Trophy's just about to hit 50k. Unexpectedly, it hasn't self destructed mission impossible style. In fact, I'd wager a 182 with half the miles would struggle to keep up on a B road.

    R26, R27 or Trophy?

If you've driven the R's, which of those do you prefer.

  28. ForceIndia

    R26, R27 or Trophy?

Can of worms. Drive them. I love my Trophy, think the fact it can lap quicker than an R27 (which has more power, closer ratios, wider track, wider tyres, far better brakes) shows how effective the suspension changes are. Not had a good enough strop in an R26 to compare, but for me the Trophy's...
