No offence, but no way in hell do you get a 50mm drop on eibachs with a 172. They drop 50mm on a standard clio, the 172's are lower as standard. Apex only give 40mm, and they're pretty much the lowest you can go with just springs.
Sound wise, fairly loud. Not as loud as yozzasport though. Booms at motorway speed, but every aftermarket exhaust resonates on the 182's.
They fit as well as any aftermarket system, they all end blowing at some point due to the expansion when hot (every system I've seen has suffered this at some...
Given how well received the clios have been by the press (from the Williams onwards) I'm surprised we've not seen a big group test. Would be interesting. I think the most impressive aspect of the 197 is that it can match the older cars (and beat some of them), but with a lot more refinment. I'd...
Think the lap time vs a Trophy would disagree with that. Similar power to weight ratio, closer ratio gearbox, far better brakes, and yet still slower lap than the Trophy.
I went from a 172, to a 182, back to a 172. In normal driving, bugger all difference (both my 172's were quicker), I'd not do the same again. A H&R'd 172 would be the better handling car, and you've got a great colour. Getting a 182 or a Trophy?
