WTF have I done? Boot not locking

Thats BS. As long as none of your mods directly affect the boot lock they have no grounds for refusing the warranty claim. Get onto citizens advice, ang then go back with some ammo.

Noticable difference between a 172 Cup and a FF

Down to personal preference, but anyone saying ABS is irrelevant is a tool. I know all CSer's can drive like Michael Scumacher, whilst earning there CS wage, but ABS has been one of the biggest safety advances over the last 30 years. On, no, but wait, it's worse on gravel and snow, which I drive...

Any new car I buy, 1st thing I do is get full alignment check done, never ever bought a car where it was spot on. Get your alignment, tyre pressures etc done.

Noticable difference between a 172 Cup and a FF

    Utter s**t. Not that I'd know (2x 172's, 1x182cup, 1xTrophy). Well done;).

WTF have I done? Boot not locking

Boot locks are a common failure, had mine done on warranty a few weeks ago. They work using an electro-magnet, and that's prone to failing. Seems to happen to a fair few Trophy's for some reason.

Noticable difference between a 172 Cup and a FF

Handling's the bigger difference, the straight line's not huge.

Best place to have my konis setup??

I'm certain that's not correct, 182 non-cupped has same basic setup as 172, so 172 coils fit 182.

http://www.horizonmotorsport.co.uk/ There you go bud. Had a Murcielago in last time I went, as well as lots of TVR's and Lotus'.

Best place to have my konis setup??

Search for Horizon motorsport, ten minute drive from harborne. Do a lot of lotus/tvr work, give them a call.

Keep the 172 or get the EK9?

Teg also has the nicer cabin, better handling, and is easier to insure. Is the ek9 not group 20?

    cruise control . . . ???

Your brake pedal deactivates cruise when you hit the brakes, the switch that controls that is under the brake somewhere, this is broken (that's what happened to mine)

    182 trophy performance mods

IMO Throttle Bodies are a bit OTT. Seen plenty people get ITB's, then a couple of months later they're off the car or for sale, economy takes quite a hit.

    182 trophy performance mods

Inlets won't make much of a difference on the Trophy IIRC, they all have the RS stamped inlet (I think). Brakes would be the first port of call (brembo discs, ferodo ds2500 pads, braided lines). Performance wise, maxogen, exhaust, remap. In all honesty they're so quick in the bends that straight...
