Some cars came with factory fitted kits on them, the majority were fitted afterwards though, having said that, they are very rare. There were also about 16 or so factory Dimma'd Williams ! Engine wise, i'm almost certain they were standard.

A normal service isn't that pricey imo, insurance for me is sub £700 so not bad all, tax is £210 for a year (at the min) People who buy them don't expect them to be cheap to run by any means. Those who get one & can't afford the up keep of it either just make do, or sell it.

I used hammerite smooth on mine, it's fine. Done them all with it, no probs at all. It's all in the prep (wire brushing & a clean up of the caliper)
