We really should get a diesel section :clown:
:) Welcome to CS and the dci department lol
The black lights make a black car look nice IMO but I still have my standard ones for when I fancy a change
What other plans have you got for the car?
Yeah, I had those speakers in behind the standard renault plastic grills until December.
Just got them moulded & retrimed to put the Focal grills on & gave them a better appearance :)
I have had these since I first upgraded from the standard speakers, almost 3 years ago, still running sweet :)
They aren't even amped and don't need to be
I have recently upgraded my front-end to competition level and had some matching-work done on the rear to bring the co-axils out from...
If you have the rear speakers upgraded then you won't need the parcel shelf done (guessing those awful 6x9s were in the pipeline)
I know some clios with over £3k worth of ICE installed and still have the standard rear speakers & parcel shelf ;)
Waiting on engraved perspex to cover the amps
Then the rest of the interior blended in with a few finishing touches & tweaks
Retrimed pillars & custom shelf
Retrimed dash & steering wheel
Stick the lot into a 172 :star:
Totaly agree there
A few people on here have actualy found that when they upgraded their speakers first, but the standard HU wasn't powerful enough to produce the sound quality, therefore causing distortion and "clipping".
My first mod on my car from new was a JVC HU (bad idea)
The sounds were...
They are very good subs mate
They would be at the same level of quality as MTX subs
One of the cars is built with Diamond gear in the competing team mine is part of ;)
Here's a fair one (for it's features)

MP3
Bluetooth
Ipod ready
Works with stalk controls (adapter required for any HU for this function)
Wireless remote available too

Standard rear speakers are fine
Yes indeed Kyle, audio advice have done some awesome work on various cars.
I am indeed after sound quality rather then just the punchy bass :star:
Cheers Tim :approve: I wouldn't mind having a 172 to stick it into either ;)
I envy your engine bay! hehe
lol the simple mod is the flat wipers ;)
