Whereabouts are you? Front brakes are easy, 2 hour job. For under £200 you get v decent pads/discs and braided lines. Rears don't do much work on these cars, be sure they need changing before doing it. Do not use kwik-fit, ever lol.
I'd love a vee, but given the mileage I do and the way petrols going, I just can't justify it at the moment. Debating wether to get a Trophy or H&R mine.
Was all set for a vee, until I worked out petrol costs on mileage, decided that with getting married this yr, can't justify it. So, looking at Trophy's now. How do they compare to 172/182's? Had 2 172's and 1 182cup before, are they that much of an impprovment?
Think you misunderstand mate. It's a good car, but of the 4 generations of m3 produced, without doubt the weakest. Def an upgrade from a 182 though. Be interesting to see which m3 you think is weaker.
But, at the end of the day, who care's? I honestly think that on nasty b-roads my 172 is quicker. Don't care, still rather be in the vee, enjoying the noise, the balance (old school 911 feel), the gearshift, and the aura. Like I've said time and time again re the 197, it may be quicker but if we...
