Any mk1 vee for 10k is likely to be a dog tbh. Finding a decent one is very hard, even some which cost 12k I found to be dogs (I paid good mk1 money for mine - but not as much as the red mk1 rims have in)
Imo, if you fitted recaro's to it you would be better off selling it as it was (standard) when the times comes & selling the seats on seperatley. That way you would get more money for them.
Info on prices for the seats etc is on here.
I disagree with that. Age has nothing to do with it.
It's all down to who has owned it & if they've looked after it or not. I've seen cars a fair few years old which are mint, then i've seen cars that are newer which look knackered already.
The value of the car seems to have nothing to do...
Finding a decent vee was hard too, so many bad examples out there :dapprove:
My mate Dave has a 172 cup (he's had it from new) he loves it, it's a minter, he's always doing bits to it & cleaning it :) His would be one of those 'first to see will buy cars'
The Bosh super plus in Halfrauds are £19.99 a set.
I got mine (the same ones) from ebay for £9.99 + postage (£13.00 all in) and I didn't even have to leave the house :)
The seller gave me a money off voucher too :approve:
172 cups came in Mondial Blue.
A 182 cup only came Racing Blue (non metallic blue) & inferno (an orengey colour)
<< V6's came in Illiad Blue.
The blues used on the sport models are different to the non sport colours.
