Immobiliser light flashing fast?

Aux belt normally goes between the bottom crank sprocket and the belt, iv never seen this happen and the engine still run so i dont think you should be too worried. Theres a chance the running problem is something else. If it were me id lock the crank, pop the cam plugs out and have a look.

Check the timing then mate just to be sure

Yea its common for the aux belt to go under the cambelt. Chances are if it its still running ok then youve caught it in time.

They can get so bad that it affects running and sometimes they cause a banging / backfire sound from the inlet. Was a renault tech note about it.

Nope. Chance are you've got a leak. If theres no pressure in the system (3 bar iirc) then the compressor wont cut in. I take it the fan works now just no cold air?

I use 75w90, have done in my car for the past 4 years and no problems. Where i work we use 75w90 in renault boxes, no problems.

Guess whoever fitted it forgot that the dephaser pulley sits inside the seal, unlike the exhaust side.

If i was that serious about it id buy something decent (mobil 1 etc) at about £30 for 5 litres, and change that every 6 months.. At the end of the day its a clio?? Unless its a big power forged engine worth £££££ or a turbo then its seems a waste to me.

As above, ideally get the track rod end glowing cherry red and it'll undo a piece of piss. Your best bet without oxy is to get big vice grips on the track rod and give it some hammer, might crack it off... Hammer the grips that is dont start trying to bend the track rod! Vice grip teeth damage...

Needs warming up with the oxy really.
