I did my front ones the other week in black hammerite smooth, they were easy to do & came out great.
I don't have the same calipers as you though. AP's ;)
One thing I forgot to say - finding a decent vee is a joke tbh (i cansay for mk2's though)
It took me two months. So many sounded good in the ads, yet when I called them up the owners never seemed to have a clue - the common line I got was "I've had it a few months, I only got it to say i'd had...
If I was looking for a mk1, i'd go & see that one.
People always say that you can get them for 10k now - yeah you can, but they'll be the sh*t ones with a lot of owners. In my experience you get what you pay for (I paid ore than that for mine) Mines a minter.
As for the handling, no probs at...
Not bad at all Ali.
I'm due to get mine done soon, it'll probs make 210bhp lol (it's a mk1 remember)
When I had my old Fiat coupe 20vt plus run on a rr I told the dude it had 6 gears, he said fine & ran it up in fourth. It still made 13bhp over standard though.
- I know rr's aren't to be...
I've seen a lot lot worse than that clio, some of it on here too.
It says clio turbo, so I guess it has a bit of power ? (i've noticed the 172 engine) any one know what is putting out ??
Lmao @ the bentley front end on the chrysler 300c !! What on earth !
There are some nice looking cars there, but some utter sh*t heaps too, some people really have no idea.
I love the Imperial Blue escort cos on Rondells - some cars don't need daft mods to look cool !
They are sought after, the last one on ebay went for around £250.00 If it's a genuine clio v6 trophy part people will pay the money.
I myself want a set of the wheels, but they're like hens teeth, if someone has a set of those they are looking a big pile of cash !
How bad is the 'scoring' on it ?
If it's not that bad you might get away with using shoe polish on it. If it's quite bad then you won't get away with it.
"insurance - try elephant, and add your dad onto the policy as a named driver, then put the volantry excess up to £750 works out the cheapest"
I'm not saying who wrote that, nor where it is on here, but to me that is the daftest comment I think i've ever seen on here for a while.
Like any...
I've seen a few valvers with smoothed out rub strips, never seen it on a mk2 clio though.
Talking of smoothing, I remember years ago when people would smooth out the numberplate recess on their boot - then shove the number plate back exactly where it was :S
I'd rather have a vibe sub box over that tbh.
One of my mates had some jbl stuff a while ago (sub & amp, speakers - the usual get up) I thought it was quite rubbish tbh.
