Ive placed a bid on it at auction yesterday, but before i agree to the sale (the reserve is a few £ higher than i bid), i wondered what this could be? Basically it wont idle, it drives and revs fine, but cuts out if you let the revs drop? Any ideas?

Anyone heard of this? Have to over-rev it to get it to go anywhere? Not my car, nor have i looked at it so no further info but maybe this indicates a missfire?
