...but then again i could be an idiot
Have a 16v which i am widetracking using R19 wishbones, ARB and williams shafts.
Just shocks and springs left to go.
Considering a used set of H&R coilovers like the ones sold by kTec
Anybody got any experience of these?
I don't like the look of a "slammed" car, i'd only be going down...
I need a new rear quater on my valver.
I'm sick of the rust, just want the panel off and new one on.
The rust goes right from near the tail light down to the sill.
any experiences/prices/places to go in Milton Keynes?
thanks in advance
I've got a dual screen setup with my old sanyo 28" widescreen.
I'm using the S-video out on my graphics card with a composite video converter on the end (i have spares of these!)......none of this HMDi lark but good for streaming south park

I've got most of the parts for this now, just sourcing shafts and shocks (may go coilovers - anyone recommend?).
I Remember when i did my wheel bearing I tried to adjust the track rod end (more as an experiment cos it looked a bit tough and rusty).....IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE
I'm gonna need to get my...
Thanks for the reply mate :)
That must mean that the track rods from the rack are longer on a williams then so to widen a 16v to willy track would take shocks + drive shafts + track rods right?
Or is it just different rod ends?
Cheers
I've seen some FK coilovers on ebay
Guy says they were bought from ktec and they are the fixed damper ones
I've got a valver, according to the kTec website these are just for the williams.
But then the kTec wesite states that the GAZ coilovers are a "worthwhile upgrade on any Clio 1.8 16v...
Road trip went without a hitch - my valver was fookin excellent! 1500 miles round trip and not a single problem.
Anybody who gets the chance to drive alpine roads take it! These little french hot hatches were built for those roads and you can have a LOT of fun! :)
Done with this thread -...
Me and a couple of mates are going out 715miles (1430 round trip) to the alps in my valver to do some boarding - it's done 100k and i know i'm an idiot, I don't need telling twice.
It's obviously getting the service of its life before it goes and I'm wondering about oil weight.
I'll probably...
It has to be my gauge!
Changed oil filter and oil for the correct one but noticed before starting that with a completely cold engine and oil that had never been run before my oil temp gauge reads 60ish. If that is how much its over by then my car runs 95 degrees which is fine!
Anyone selling an...
My 16v crunches into 3rd every time.
I can stop it by matching the revs exactly on the way into 3rd (it's been good for practicing my heel-toe).
I've just replaced a worn dogbone on saturday with a brand new one
The car doesent crunch in any other gear - and yes i can use a clutch lol.
any...
Yeah it could be the filter!
The one i got given by my local parts shop for the car was too big to squeeze between the radiator and the sump so I took it back and changed it for the same one i took off, which is a smaller sized filter.
How do you get the standard sized filter in there? It will...
Just spoke to a mate who said his valver oil temp never really went above 100 degrees. Mine rests up at 155 degrees once fully warm doing about 4krpm on the motorway.
Why am a so darn hot?
P.S. Just changed the oil and filter.
