Valver cold Oil Grade

  ValverInBits
Me and a couple of mates are going out 715miles (1430 round trip) to the alps in my valver to do some boarding - it's done 100k and i know i'm an idiot, I don't need telling twice.

It's obviously getting the service of its life before it goes and I'm wondering about oil weight.
I'll probably have to use it about once a day in France which will mean quite a few cold starts from -5centigrade ish - will i be ok with 10w50 which i normally use (as valvers run hot) or do i need 5w40 or even 0w40?

Also has anyone put in a new heater blower? is it a b**ch?

I'd go down to 0-40

10-40 is fine to protect down to -20 but there not young engines ever little bit of love helps.

Heater blower? Check the switches first. The fqans easy to chnage its under the scuttle panel driver side.

Thanks, I'll get sum 0w then.
Checked the switches over already - seems to be a good voltage coming out

Road trip went without a hitch - my valver was fookin excellent! 1500 miles round trip and not a single problem.
Anybody who gets the chance to drive alpine roads take it! These little french hot hatches were built for those roads and you can have a LOT of fun! :)
