Hi, can anyone recommend a PDR company near me in Solihull?
The guys at the Cliosport day did a good job last year, not sure if they're there this yeat, butwe're gloing in my wife's 197!
Cheers, Ian.
Probably ok in this weather, but imagine the heat off the silencers stuck in a traffic jam when it's 25 degrees outside?? The boot would get very hot!
Personally, I'd jack the back end of the car up and fix the heatsnield.
Ian.
I bought a new nut! But it kept slipping as if the thread was worn, so bought some spire nuts??, they work on a self tapping thread the same as the original, but i used a smaller one with a large outside diameter washer-worked a treat.
Mine used to come on intermittantly, replaced the brake light switch and it made no difference.
Tracked it at Mallory in the snowy weather and it was fine, came on the next day! but switch the ign off and on and it was fine.
Put my code reader on it and it wouldn't speak to the abs ecu
Sold...
£25 for the wheel with airbag-it has cc switches but the guy i bought it off, cut the plug off. I swapped my switches over and then back again afterwards.
Don't have any pics at the moment, but the thumb grips are worn as per normal!
Snappy did my replacement whrel-was a good job and recomend...
Read this fault on my 182 (no light on though) it reffered to the engine speed sensor which you've changed. Cleared it and it'sbeen ok.
Also had my cc fail, was a faulty brake lit switch-£13 from Renault.
Ian.
Would be very surprised if the threads are diffetent, french/europeans all use ISO metric. Japs use wierd fine pitch threads.
Reckon threads are corroded-know anyone with a tap set who can clean the thread out? Otherwise use some grease to help it in-don't force it as you may never get it back...
I have a pin out from the airbag ecu that may help finding which pair is open circuit, but it's for a 182 not a 172, not sure if they're the same though-helped me find a faulty side impact sensor.
Also, if it helps, there is a seat position sensor on the driver's seat runner that detects if the...
Get it repaired, I bought the parts to repair it myself, but ended up buyong a used pack as the repair didn't last-use the ebay repairer and you get a guarantee.
I have a non cup 182 and bought some lemforder rods from ECP, they were too short and lemforder said they don't make rods for the 182!
So, took them back and bought genuine from Adam at Renault Wolverhampton and bought a tool for fitting them for £55 as we have 3 clios in the household.
I took the wife's 197 wheels there with a new set of tyres. They took the old off, powdercoated and fitted the new.
To be honest, i'm pleased with their work (wheels look good after all the snow and salt on the roads), but they do have a habit of finishing the job several days later than they...
I disconnected the air bag ecu on my lads clio and measured the resistance between the relevant pairs in the plug.
Found a faulty side impact sensor that was damaged by water from the leaking sunroof.
Cost £14 for a sensor and a fiver for the silicon.
