lol, 6am this morning servers started dropping like flies, first thought it was a cyber attack and here we go, then both DCs were out. Cheers Crowdstrike.
So it has been 324 days since I purchased the Fanatec CSL bundle and I'm about to power it on properly for the first time, not quite finished yet, got to tidy up a few things, add the shifter side bar, end panels, cables etc but think I'll run it for a few days make any adjustments I need.

Quick question on what my options are and how I go about fixing this....
Got to the last stage of building the sim rig but mounting the monitor......
This is what I have to work with....
This is the plate GT Omega sent me
Sits well proud above the monitor.
Can I just pack it with...
I've been in work 25 years and have had the same job, I am on my 7th different company now due to being acquired/sold off.
Redundancy is a brutal business and I survived near on 7 years being told my job was up for review every quarter lol. Been settled in nicely at what was a smaller company...
Sounds like a pretty genuine reply from customer services tbh and they are just being told from above f**k em.
Now I've had a sulk and I'm over it this morning I am tempted to order the load cell pedal.
I've been sat here stewing over it tonight, thinking I'm about to blow another £150 on the Moza pedals because I won't buy the Fanatec load cell now.
I'm pretty crap at this social media s**t, so how would I go about sending them the saga? Now.... I don't do FB, Instagram, Twitter or anything...
And that is that.....
Any idea on what load cell pedals to get now? Can I just buy a separate load cell from a different manufacturer and keep the Fanatec CSL pedals?
I don't have Twitter. Will see if they reply and might sign up.
Mind blown.....
I don't know whether to reply or not, In all honesty I was going to purchase the loadcell pedal and gear shifter end of the month. I will not be doing that now.
Disappointed is an understatement and I'd love to know what they consider as deserving of compensation.
lol, cheers then. Set your expectations low and you never fail to achieve them.
I'm only running the 5nm DD at the moment so hopefully not get that, and just have CSL DD pedals for now but looking to get the loadcell pedal.
At least the £450 saved gives me a little wiggle room to improve on...
Order placed, Gone with the Prime Lite, Inertia bucket seat, integrated monitor mount and Fanatec DD mount.
Decided against the extra £500 for the TrakRacer as I can get a shifter and handbrake and clutch for not much more.
So almost a year on and I'm in the market for the rig when I get back off holiday. Caught in two minds at the moment.
TR80 looks better but a bit more expensive, Fixed back GT style seat and integrated monitor stand. About £1019.
Problem is, I have a space of 160cm to fit in and can stretch to...

I got a few screws in but the angle puts the last ones way off as can be seen. So it is fixed solid at the top.
It is powered on, not leaking so will that be OK now and just ignore the few missing fins? Not likely to fail?
Not sure how I would go about front mounting it. There is no obvious...
Well that didn't go to plan.
Nothing leaking. Be alright won't it until I get something that actually fits in the case?
Problem is, the rad is fouling a heat sink on the motherboard so I was trying a bit of brute force to get the screw to fit in the hole, moved the other way and went straight...
flol. I wish, Fanatec gone back to type. Heard nothing since. Going away end of June, once I get back if nothing has been done then I'll raise it again with them and use my compo face to empathise how I feel I don't think I can trust them for future purchases.
On a side note after a blast on...
This has been my first title on the new PC. Checking my steam account my last games played were FM12 and C&C Red Alert. This is going to take some serious getting used to over C&C Engineering guy.
I've bungled through the first 2 Italian missions, don't really understand the turn based thing...
Isn't this just a fad though, once the people born in the 70s, 80s and early 90s are dead then no one will give a s**t about about old Fords.
It is only because people who grew up in that era now have some silly amounts of disposable income, will be the same for the 2000+ lot, they'll move on...
Yeah, I got that bit, brake into the pedal base and pedal base to DD. I assume with a load cell pedal you'd just daisy chain the current brake/clutch to load cell to pedal base to DD?
What cable would you use to plug it directly to the PC anyway?
Load Cell pedal - 139 euro
Booster pack - 149 euro
So not much between them.
Having a look what they have, I reckon....
clutch kit, 39 euros
CSL pedal tuning kit - 34 euro
If they offer me a Fanatec Beanie hat......
Well well well. Looks like Fanatec have got their sh!t together. less than 24 hours and a reply.
I wonder if the responsible team will just ignore it.
What would you accept as a suitable 'gesture of goodwill'?
I don't think a discount off next purchase would be fair, cash gift voucher is...
Do you have any issues with your HiSense TV not picking up HDMI? Sometimes I put on the xBox and it just doesn't register and sits at a black screen, need to either switch the xBox off and on or the TV at the wall.
Also my arc to sound system is flakey, keeps the connection but drops the...
Lets see where this gets me, I would like to think a company who have had such bad PR will be doing their upmost to restore their image.
I've gone for the following approach:
1) thank them
2) Call them out
3) Ask for something
4) Pretend I'm going to be a loyal customer going forward
Perfect...
This is how it is currently configured. You can see my tape bodge fix in the top left corner to stop the rad sagging. Stuplid
I've tried moving the screws that hold the filter from the outside places to inside to match the Rad but they aren't long enough.
and you can sort of see it fouling...
Set it up tonight, After an hour of updating the drivers and having a few panics where it just sat there saying "please wait" until I decided this isn't right so cancelled after a "you don't want to be cancelling this mate" message I finally got it all updated.
Then took me 20 minutes to figure...
