Personally i would get the SSD & 8GB from amazon .. will cost you under £200 and yes your machine will rocket. When they arrive download Carbon Copy Cloner ... make a complete backup of your drive to the new SSD. Restart your machine with this new SSD connected via USB or something and test...

A machine with the newest ivy bridge processor 4GB RAM and a 128GB SSD? hardly poverty - didn't know you needed quad core i7s for web surfing? It performs faster on geek bench than a 2010 Mac Pro tower so .....

Really?! - My phone is faulty atm anyway and being a b*****d so it needs an applecare swap out but im not inclined to come and pay £25 a new back only to have it swapped anyway. Some of the ebay ones for £25 are supposedly genuine.
