I feel your pain there, all be it slightly scaled down I had to sell my 182 due to being in between jobs for a while!
Hope you find an alternative for sure. BUT I'm sure you'll have no problem breaking it for parts and getting that income quick haha. (Cage and roll centre for me please, sorry...
So just to revive this, had the ph1 on MOT rollers to check the braking - the rears are putting out around 30kg of effort, so nowhere near the amount needed to essentially pass an MOT, but my rear brakes are still locking up while braking hard and the rear trying to overtake the front wheels...
Few small jobs done today after I finished work
Managed to remove this join that's been annoying me for the pass couple of weeks.
Tidied up the rear loom a little bit more
finished it off by relocating it through the panels, with the loom all wrapped up noicee.
Spot that Inlet manifold...
No mate, brake issue is still very much apparent! IM SO CONFUSED - I'm probably going to make my own lines and use a bias valve, as I'm pissed off with it! on a brighter note, my 197 callipers and lines have been delivered what pads do you use?
No not really, exactly that - i was originally running no lower dash with my cut loom, but i was still running an UCH so you're always gonna be looking at something!
and i don't have the knowledge to remove it and create my own custom dash with switches etc YET.
Yep I've done it on mine, all be it i messed up the first loom by accidentally cutting the hazard switch.
Im yet to weigh the bag of wires i have collected but the full loom weighs 4.5 kg (not including rear loom) for your information and my bag full of chopped wires feels similar to that!
I've got one of these for my passenger seat, and they're very very light! but yes as said above narrow - if anyone wants to swap an xL for my new standard size corbeau that would be perfect! one of my mates is chubs so will need a bigger seat if he is to come passenger round track...
So drove the ph1 up to my girlfriends flat in London yesterday, and it drove faultlessly apart from fuckking loud haha
The problem with the Rear brakes are still apparent and I've pretty much tried everything apart from stripping down the callipers. Its really frustrating, as it's quite a simple...
Right ok, yeah the lines are in the correct places, and its quite hard for them not to be, due to the different size ports - having an absolute mare with it.
just bought some 4 pots, so gonna put in some custom lines and bias valve along with the compensator valve, and hopefully that should be...
Any suggestions before I throw the cup brakes lines in the bin on my ph1 and make my own lines with bias valve
Rear brakes keep locking up, when it's on stands and someone has there foot on the brake I can spin the rear wheels with not much effort at all (i.e. low braking effort) which is good...
thats a good idea bud! the plan is to get a meg 175 before i have to move out next year, as cheap as the dci is, its s**t! can't have a slow daily, or a non sporty feeling daily anyway!
Currently I am using a piece of wood with a slit in it to wedge the window up... haha
Turns out I didn't have enough sealent left, but im not sure whether to rivet them in or glue.
That's fine bud stalk away, least your honest - everyone does it haha
there's not many ph1s around here ;)
yeeep, the motivation was high that's for sure - and I had quite a bit of money left over from selling the BG 182, so it had to go on the ph1!
your daily looks purdy though!
Wooooo - the ph1 is back on the road!
and my god it's noisy haha!
Got the servo fitted and brakes bled today, and then had a little test drive.
also had time to install my polycarb front windows!
Few bits of tidying up here and there...
So yeah to conclude - the steering...
