First things first, it's probably time to change the title of the thread... so if someone could help me do that, that would be great [emoji3]
this is a cake Saw this at work so decided it had a place in my project thread.
the dash is done
I'm joking it's wedged in place currently...
No mate, these were made ages ago, I did buy blind tbf, and the description of group buy and 197 brackets swayed me over what they actually looked like.
Yep exactly. Nothing ventured nothing gained as that say
Thank you Dan, yeahh somehow I've got quite a lot of motivation for this, considering motivation lacks anywhere else...
Yeah man I wasn't that annoyed was f**king stupid though! haha, hey ho in the end it didn't matter anyway!
That's the cheapest way of doing it.
Yeahh indeed it is, I also can't guage how it will work without a thread on the bracket itself.
Gonna try contact the original person who sold these, as I don't feel happy with em.
So yeah turns out the f4r's are fooking expensive, about the same as a 2nd hand f4r haha - think I'm gonna wait till I can afford some ds1.11s. or pagid blues., and just run the standard callipers for the time being...
Ergh very very wet day, but quite a bit done.
The make shift outdoor garage took its toll today, the tarpaulin is ripping so leaks quite a bit but we got through haha
So fitted the PMS wishbones with spherical bearings and strengthening plates.
Had problems getting the the bolts out so...
Does anybody know where i can get a set of these pads?
I literally cannot find them anywhere, and was wanting to try another set of pads compared to my ds3000s I'm running on my standard callipers.
So today was a bit of a prep day. Got a lot of little bits sorted.
First thing first, Plumbed in brake lines and fitted the hydro handbrake conversion.
Decided to keep the compensator valve in situ due to buying a cheaper bias valve so probably wouldn't reduce braking effort enough...
yep you can buy plastic spacers on ebay for whatever length. It looks like a thin nut and bolt yep.
yep leave outside seal in as it waterproofs it, and nope inner seal will stay off no need for it.
Helllloooooooow
Welll the 182 is on the drive, getting it off was a lot harder than getting it on, had to lift the shell between the 4 of us haha
So alot of faffing jobs were done today, sorted out the the dash switch board.
Also the top dash, previously it had a dip where the air bag...
So the s**t design of the 6 captive bolts (3 each side) have meant I had to cut 1 off.
I spoke to Ren parts direct to sort a replacement and they're very expensive.
What bolt can I use to replace them with? preferable with a head on top so a socket can be put on
Cheers.
Yeah believe I've got the info on those sizes.
Might just go to a hose making place and say "help" Probably be easier. was just me being forward thinking.
hey ho, thanks anyway.
Just bought this hydro for the track car and was wondering what the thread size is for the unions? as the standard unions I have that I bought for my 3/16 copper pipe doesn't fit.
Can anyone point me in the direction of what unions should fit? I am looking for unions that have a male thread...
