It cost me £1500 just to shop the car, then add customs and clearance cost in Australia, plus compliance cost and registration, closer to £3k~ all up.

Had the car for a few months in Oz now and she is being well and truly pampered !
Had the windscreen replaced, refreshed the ignition system with new leads, coil pack and plugs, dropped in a new cam angle sensor. Fresh oil and filter. Next up is to polybush the undercarriage...
Well done Russ, Dreaming to do a similar engine swap but with an rs265 engine and drivetrain , which chassis would be the easiest to engine swap rs200 Clio or meg 225? Presume drive shaft length would be different with the Clio chassis but the meg chassis should be more drop in?
Yes I have attempted it and it's still a work in progress ;) but at present there is not enough clearance between the rear of manifold and the headers unfortunately , it may in the end still only be possible with ITBs, RS2 or SM inlet type manifold.
