    thin spacers with centerring?

They don't need it because there is still enough space to locate the wheel on the hub with anything under 10mm.

Best place for a gearbox rebuild?

This. Probably opened and closed it for that.

    Suspension thump/knock

Under the car, you'll see a twisted gearbox support. The purple powerflex bushes are a common mod to fix the movement in the worn rubber.

Sounds like the gearbox dogbone mount to me.

    BG 182

Spray them with ACF-50. Niall's done his coilovers and whiteline bar with them and there's not one bit of rust or anything on them yet.

172 cup idle issues - trouble shooting

Easy enough to check if you're at TDC is by looking at the mark on the flywheel through the hole in the housing.

Very strange issue with the 182?

    Need to slow down :tongueclosed:

Very strange issue with the 182?

Too much engine movement caused it do you think? Especially with you saying about the gearbox mount...

Very strange issue with the 182?

Could there be one or two wires still exposed?

981 Boxster S. My first Porsche.

That'll polish out, may need a slight wetsand with 3000 grit first.

Clio 172 Engine n gearbox overhaul

@renaultpartsdirect on here might be able to help. What have you done with that tensioner spring? You say you've reconned those parts. It's not ideal to re-use the tensioner either, if it fails the aux belt will likely take out your cambelt when it goes and destroy the engine.

Clio 172 Engine n gearbox overhaul

I would advise against a lightened crank pulley tbh. They are haramonically balanced/dampened with the rubber damper, removing this you are then opening it up to vibrations from the crank possibly destroying the engine.

    Cambelt/Aux belt failure *POLL*

Yeah Carl told me that at EFI the other day. Luckily he spotted it really.

    Cambelt/Aux belt failure *POLL*

You'll be at around 36k this time next year, so i'd get the aux belt done or both if you're feeling flush.

I did similar when i first fitted mine and then soon spotted the error of the brake lines potentially being crushed.

    Coilover set up Midlands

Yeah £300 is a bit much. Set the height yourself so both fronts are equal and both rears are equal and it should be fine.

    Front disc t45 screws missing!

    Yeah, for the best really.

    Front disc t45 screws missing!

They're meant to be countersunk to prevent that. Some do supply ones where the head is too big though.

    Missing part from fuel rail

If it's a Ph2 172 or 182, it will be left open like that. The pipe is blanked already.

Fuel pressure regulator? Doesn't have one unless it's a Ph1.

    Coilover set up Midlands

Bloody hell are they charging £75 an hour or something? £180 is the going rate up here at Blink Motorsport.

    Track day Gaz coilovers settings.

Bit of hard cornering on the road and also do a steady session on track and come in and let them cool. They should get better and better as long as you let them cool down.

    Clio 182 - Removing AC & HPAS

You want to move those u-bolt clamps more to the outside mate, closer to the spring perch platforms and not over the brake lines
