Thanks mate
Love the R1r's, for me they're a fantastic wet tyre, from full on standing water right the way to a dry track. I personally now only use them until standing water has cleared and then switch back to semi slicks but they are more than capable of holding their own in dry conditions...
Thanks mate
Hopefully a couple of weeks at most now, I still plan on making the last 2 race meetings of the tricolore trophy in September, but we'll see, there's still a few odds and ends to do before being ready for competition
Well it's been a month since I dropped the car off along with the new spec safety devices cage, progress has been a little slow but the work is being fitted in around all their other work (mainly mx5 turbo/supercharger conversions).
In good news though my roll centre kit has arrived, well been...
When you first set the tension leave the cam/crank pulley bolts slightly loose, thus way you can rotate them with the engine locked up, allowing the tensioner to settle. Once this is done then tighten pulleys, remove timing tools and turn over by hand, recheck timing and go from there
Daily is a ML55  absolutely love it but it is a tank lol.
Hopefully progress will be swift but it all depends on how many pennies go into the other clio as that's the more important one at the moment

So I guess the clio bug really is starting to bite me, not content with just my track car that a few people may have glanced at (see here if you haven't http://www.cliosport.net/threads/ads-172-track-toy-project.767157/)
I've decided to start this off too.
I only ever bought this cup as a parts...
I use rc8's, very good pad imo although I've not tried ds1.11 though so can't compare back to back. Yes they squeal like a pig at times but I don't use my car on the road so I've never found it an issue really
Just to throw a spanner in the works I can get these AR1's for less than £80 a corner in 195 50 15, nearly £200 a set less than my current Dunlops. May just have to give them a go after all
Assume you're already running 15" wheels? I saved approx 2kg a tyre (without alloys) by swapping from 16" Avons to 15" Direzzas (182 alloys to Oz's so there's a fair bit of saving there too)
Glad to see your enjoying it  what class are you running in Tricolore Trophy? All being well I should make Thruxton and Mallory at the end of the season (waiting on new cage to be fitted at the moment, and the never ending bills on my daily driver, but that's a whole other story lol)

I moved across to Dunlops a couple of months ago and what a difference compared to 888's (not tried the 888r though) I know there's a fair bit of personal preference when it comes to tyres, but I found I had a lot more confidence on them, even being a used set with 2-3mm left.
I would...
Have you checked rear suspension? Or to be more precise rear dampers? When I bought my first 172 the rears were knackered, changing them made a huge improvement to the handling
Re code is via Clip diagnostics only I believe, if you swap a Co let set over its just a case of unclipping the electrical connectors and then swapping the units across, worst bit is generally getting the cover off the ecu, some will slide off lovely, others are a complete t#@t. From my...
With the list of faults you've mentioned it would sound to me as though the uch is at fault.
Can't really be replaced on its own without having to be recoded, you can change as a set along with the ecu and fob part of key, both of the replacement uch and ecu part numbers need to match your...
I don't know to be honest, my spare engine does this when warm, butnisnsilent when cold. I'm planning on a complete rebuild anyway, but may save some hassle and ditch it if it's more serious
I'd imagine it's the alternator (haven't watched your video mind)
When mine let go there was a big puff of smoke and a lot of heat, oh and 1.2v output lol
Never tried on mine but on the Mrs daily tce the on board computer is usually reads between 3 and 4 mpg lower than working it out for myself when filling back up (comp reads 42ish average, real life 45/46 av)
I'd expect its a similar story with the rest too
For reasons unknown Renault decided to run the power supply through the drivers side switch and then onto the passenger side, so there's only one feed to the motor/regulator.
As soon as there's a problem with either switch the regulator stops working unfortunately, you can bridge the...
