Hmm I've had a quick look, most seem to be slightly different symptoms. Seems odd that the car detects the fob being pressed so I would guess it It is still synced to the car somewhat - perhaps doing the battery off for a bit might do the trick !

Na the one that came with the car mate ( I'm assuming because it's being picked up by the car it's programmed to the ecu)

I don't think it fits inside the plastic protector but mine where mullered anyway so just left them poking out, a little zip lock bag pushed into the plastic should do the trick though :)

I'd say 1 at absolute most, the standard system is more than capable for the amount of gas the block pushes through it

I think mine grind's a little on the downshift from 3rd to 2nd, topping the oil up seems to sort it right out as mine leaked a little all over the drive ;)
