What you getting?.
I had my car rolling roaded today. Bit dissapointed with the figure tbh!. Will start a thread with vids and pics.
My local dynodynamics place was only £42 all in.
It can get tiresome. Well it does on my yozza but that just sounds savage.
I always get the urge to put it back on once in a while though.
As said I can't see as there's any performance difference between the two maps.
Glad to hear it went ok. I had to have patience, it took me two days from start to finish on the car. That was with changing the dephaser, oil and filter.
Could do it much quicker now.
Yeah just drop us a pm when your ready mate. Also I have a new number so you won't be able to reach me on...
Good to see it coming together Jon. How did you find the timing? I had a bit of job with it but it was alright in the end.
And it wasn't that bad doing it with the engine in. I thought the aux belt was the worst bit.
All I can think is that it leaked due to them using a crap gasket or not cleaning the old one off properly before refitting, so they've tried to tighten the bolts more than they should have to stop the leak but ending up stripping the threads. I would have thought the bolts would have knackered...
Really? Access looks dia. Thanks for the offer matey, I'll keep that in mind. I'm gonna be under it this weekend doing an oil change so I'll try and have a good old look.
That's fair enough but if you don't like it, you don't use it.
Just because you don't see the point in it doesn't mean people shouldn't use it.
It seems to be fairly popular at the moment.
If you buy one second hand and the previous owner hasn't unlocked it, you'll need to buy an unlock code (license) and a map.
I think if you buy one new you get a discount on the map. That's what I've read anyway.
I had a quick look today, can't seem to feel any play in the wheels. There maybe a slight fraction of play on the passenger side.
I can't see any movement in the track rod end ball joints. How hard are the actual track rods to change?
I did. I've had upto 46 mpg on a long run without it, with it on driving like a granny I struggled to see 40 on a long run. And giving it some would Cain the fuel quickly.
I've been having a problem with my steering that seems to be getting progressively worse.
Over rough surfaces the steering gets pulled all Over the place.
So I was stopped earlier on and wiggled the steering wheel from side to side and you can feel a slight knock whilst doing it.
I'm going...
I might still be up for that although I think I might get it done sooner. My local rolling road uses dyno dynamics and is 45 + vat for 3 power runs which I didn't think was too bad.
From previous posts I've read I think the cam box can leak oil, i presume it could leak out the back on to the manifold but I really hope it's not that as I think it's s cam belt off job. I could be totally wrong. But they say if it's only a small leak and its from the cam box it's not worth...
Thats a bummer. Check your vin number and see if there is any calibration files for your vin number. I think it's only the first four digits of the vin you need.
I can only help you with the cat to manifold problem. Yes your right only use the oem kit as the others don't fit well. It'll probably blow worse lol.
West Renault on here are doing the oem kit for 24 quid. Find them in the traders section.
I've hot mine set as follows
Caps go in the...
You love it don't you lol. I only wack the overrun map on once in a while now as it does get a bit tiresome after a while. And the difference in fuel economy is silly.
