I run genuine Mazda skyactiv 2.2d M10 studs which are used with some kind of alloy/inconel Nut as standard, very expensive nuts! But are too bulky in length. So I use inconel K nuts with the studs
My thought process behind a lot of stuff is that manufactures know a lot more than we do in terms...
Hey guys, after a little chat with with Wayne at BMR (www.motorsportradiators.co.uk) he can fabricate a radiator with a world leading core he can do a price for £575 ex vat which would be a full alloy construction..
I’d need 3 people to get it for that price and he would need a donor radiator...
OEM Renault one? Yeah I’ve used the slide motorsport one myself with previous turbo and now with the new one, were your flange surfaces machined flat?
Also do you use m10 or m8 studs?

Initially I run it on standard internals with a thick MLS head gasket (Megane one) just to lower the compression a tad.. it was like this for 5 years and has zero issues with engine reliability.
Issues had were turbo gasket blowing (common) and a crack in my downpipe.. I now have a thinker...
Hello mate let me get in before the ‘don’t do it bunch’ do!
I have a clio 182 turbo that has been turbo charged by myself for 6 years.. it stated life as a low boost turbo with 245bhp and 230lbft torque and it’s been great. You won’t find many decent converted ones about as they tend to be...
A friend of mine got a direnza rad for me to fit when building his Mk2 golf 20vt and it will not stay cool. We’ll be going down the custom route for that one too.
Any recommendations on good cores mate?

Yes would be good.. something the actual manufacturer should have completed.
I’m seeing more and more stuff sold online without a smidgen of proof any of it works. A bit like rear strut braces for Clio 182’s and Megane.. utter shite!

Little things like that’s annoy the hell out of me!! Do or will you have any direct comparison water temp differences to see how it performs?
Most annoying thing about up rated parts is when it’s (up rated) because it’s alloy or thicker etc but zero proof from the developer, you just have to...
I have a 75 degree one in there now from PMS, yeah I saw mine was cracked a long time ago but never caused an issue.. just thought I’d do it!

Hello mate, I’m sure someone will be along who has access to the info, I’m away from work so can’t get info.. how come you need to know? Just to check within specs?

You say you are pinning the crank, are you certain you have the pin in the correct groove which should lock it both ways with the pin right in.. I’ve seen the pin being located in a drilling on the crank just above the locking groove it feels like it’s locking but The pin sits slightly out and...
Quality is superb, the machining on the billet impeller is awesome.. castings are very nice too. My only criticism was the way they mounted the actuator bracket without any washers! But that was it! The spool and response is incredible, also sounds lovely. I’d recommend them, I paid £800 for...
