Why are my photos so dark?

No worries mate. Telling you, auto is w**k. Don't know why they bother putting it on.
  2. Mr Trailer Man

Why are my photos so dark?

Auto isn't very good as it usually brings the flash on even when it's not needed. That can cause underexposed pics. Try P mode if it has it. It's a bit like auto so you don't have to worry about setting your shutter speed.

    Ph1 engine in 182?

Seems like effort, when there are plenty of ph2 172/182 engines around, no?

    Ph1 engine in 182?

The oil seperator/breather plate on top of the ph1 won't allow you to fit a 182 inlet i don't think. @bloke?

    Ph1 engine in 182?

I'd rather put a 182 engine in tbh. Throttle is by cable on the ph1 for a start.

The roll you would have had on standard springs wouldn't have helped mate, at that speed. It'll feel much better round Island Bend on coilovers.

Yeah, i don't like lively either. My whiteline arb in the wet is murder, so i just unlink one side.

As you say, it's a complete minefield and a lot is down to personal preference. If you start with 8kg/8kg and see how you get on, you can always get some harder springs for £40 a piece.

Stiffer rear will encourage it to be a tad more lively. I know @NorthloopCup said he prefered the front a bit stiffer.

I agree, AST's would be the ideal setup. But you're talking £1500 and if you are already stretching to buy £800 coilovers then finding another £700 is a bit much. Plus, you have to deal with Curtis :tongueclosed:

Yeah the front would be hard as f**k. I couldn't believe when my mate who races in Civic Cup told me his were 16kg/18kg! Haha. Properly stiff!

I'd possibly go 9kg front and 8kg rear. So 500lb/450lb.

8kg/8kg would be a good start. That's 450lbs all round. If you wanted the similar rate on the front as the 182 Championship Spax ones, then 750lbs equates to 13kg!

Standard Spax kit is way too soft. Front spring rates are 342lbs, rear spring rates are 228lbs

If you were to go for the Spax, i'd get the Clio 182 Championship ones from Ktec. http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=4776&appid=2 They're 750lb front and 450lb rear.

Just don't go too hard on the rear, otherwise you'll be bouncing everywhere.

It can be yeah. The cornering weigh setup is done by moving the weight around using the height adjustment. So making one wheel lower will reduce the weight on that wheel and making it higher will increase it's weight. This also affects the opposite corner to which you are adjusting.

You can adjust the rear dampening yeah.

From what i've seen on here with people who use AST's, they go for 450lb/in springs which is 8kg/mm. 10kg would be roughly 550lb/in, stiff! I'm not sure how stiff you can go before it gets a bit much. What you think @NorthloopCup?
