Nope - it'll be just as reliable as OEM with that setup - you'll be fine
Any more money I'd start looking at fitting new bushes on the front, top mounts, cooksport springs - that sort of route to get your handling nice and tight
They replace the standard bolts in the piston rods - which are a common weak point on these engines - and allow you to rev higher :)
RS2 manifold, 197 cams, arp rod bolts and a remap would see you hit 200bhp - cheaper for all that than bodies too
Mines a completely bog standard 120k engine with ITB's bolted on - running an Omex 600.
The engine was strong (it's been well looked after by CS members throughout the years lol) so was making mid 170's before the bodies - and now makes around 200bhp.
You can fit cams for another 10bhp or so...
Because his online persona is a bit of a jerk who posts controversial stuff all the time just to start arguments lol

Right for a start your fuel economy is not good lol. You should be getting 40mpg on motorway runs really on a standard clio.
My drive to cliosport saturday and back I...
This... I've got a cable tie from the arm up to the chassis holding it in the up position. It's passed MOT's for 3 years like that.
Also whip your rear pads out and make sure the caliper sliders are still actually sliding - if they're not get them moving again. They rust up very easily...
I had some wheels done for my old 106 and my mates integra a few years ago.
They did a good enough job for how silly cheap they are (£1 per inch - or they used to be) - but I believe they do cook the original paint off which a few people will say weakens the wheels..
Good job for the...
Not that I know of.
Dan from 519 did some back to back testing with straight lengths - right up to the point where they stuck out the front of the car by 6" lol
Exactly the same - just editing my shots this afternoon. Cropping makes them usable but 400mm would have been much nicer
6D - NICE!
I'm lucky enough to rent/borrow most of mine off my mate as he's a fairly well established photographer with a lot of kit - but I know a lot of guys on here...
Good choice. You can rent both for about £60 for a 4 day weekend. Well worth doing a few events with rented lenses till you get a feel for which one suits your style best :)
That's it! I was close with TRS LOL
TRW - very very good quality. I actually took the renault ones back as they looked cheap compared to the TRW ones and were a LOT more money
I don't think it would fit
I run
60mm carbon reverie backing plate - with the C603D filter
It gives 150mm internal clearance - but that means really you can only run 120mm trumpets as you need air space between the end of the trumpets and the filter
You could try the C604D which gives 125mm...
Nope you can literally just choose "no longer for sale" when you end the auction early.
It's perfectly fine as you can advertise things in other places than ebay
A few of the 106 lads tried curved trumpets - some even 180 degree ones that came up and over the engine. Got some interesting results
I think you could get 150mm trumpets on the Clio if you angled them down 10degrees or so - but there isn't a filter big enough for them and Jenvey don't make...
Correct... but you kinda have to stick to the physical dimensions of the car
The length I had before was optimum more around 12-14Krpm so at least I'm going in the right direction lol
Really? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-Clio-x65-RENAULTSPORT-V6-255-2003-/281136108683?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item417504948b
The only ones I've seen that still get anywhere near 15k are the ones with virtually no mileage on that have been sat in a garage for 10 years
No. When I was in GSF I asked to look at the different rod ends and bottom ball joints they stocked - I ended up going for the more expensive ones they stock, I think they were TRS? I might still have the invoice at home
They just looked a lot better quality than the firstline stuff - in fact...
There's only 2 lengths of inner TR as far as I'm aware - those first line ones are the longer length used on the cup.
I'd suspect as your 182 is a FF it also needs the longer length so they will fit fine :)
They're actually listed as a berlingo van I believe but just ask for them by part...
Replace them anyway!
Seriously now it's stripped down that far - the ECP ones are £14 each - so £28 and half an hours work.
Mine seemed to have no play at all, when I took them off the car and looked at them in the garage they didn't seem to have any play but they were "floppy" - where the...
Yeah I was comparing with IS as the 70-300 IS system is the same as the 70-200 2.8 IS.
It really is swings and roundabouts though - I quite like the IS system, but the extra stops of light are handy too lol.
If only money was no object...
I could do the 4th (Sunday) - would be nice to see some northerners again :)
Which other forum have you put this on? I could put it on 106owners and saxperience - see if we can get a big french meet on the go? :)
I just shot with a 70-200 f2.8 at Waddington and got some brilliant shots - but most were cropped past the point I'm happy cropping.
That being said the f2.8 was fantastic for crowd shots and shooting through people.
The 70-200L + 1.4tc is a LOT more expensive than a 70-300L though. Swings...
