I think it's a fairly generically used 3ping plug setup - it certainly looks a lot like the lambda plugs on my old 106 too. But if not I guess you could just cut the cables and wire a suitable connector on
IIRC doesn't the EC1 use the standard loom - so it will be using the standard lambda anyway for closed loop
I'd just get an innovate wideband with gauge mate - they're handy if you're out tweaking the map on the road and give you piece of mind if things start getting a bit funky.
Mines been...
I'd upgrade the fuel rail - I want to get the jenvey solid rail for mine. Purely because the standard fuel hose connector is a piece of s**t and keeps popping off lol
What are you planning on using the wideband for? They're good for mapping and keeping an eye on things with an in-car display...
I don't think you'd need to mate
There's quite a bit of adjustment on the new rod where you can choose how far back you want the stick.
With it set where I've set mine (which isn't fully forward on the rod) the gearstick sits further back than with the "burpspeed mod" I had before lol
The...
Yeah very fair prices - pretty much where I expected them to be
That would classify as a 3rd party repair yes - if he chooses not to do the work himself
^^ Yup
Don't get disheartened, s**t happens and it wasn't your fault. It's not a veyron, the engines are easy to fix and cheap to buy. Give him a chance to sort it and if not mike@MWM can swap engines quicker than the Flash lol
£1500???? how much do people charge for labour these days?
It's a £400 engine and an afternoons work
And it's also a £400 engine and an afternoons work he shouldn't have to pay for as the garage fitted a used aux belt contaminated in PAS fluid.
I swapped for 205's and I much prefer the little extra grip you get but also the bit of extra tyre defending the alloy lol
I hit a fairly large kerb the other week and other than having to rub some rubber off the alloy all was fine
Bizarrely tyres seem a bit cheaper in 205 than 195 too
I think Chip's response stating the 2nd hand engine could be knackered and more than your car is worth is very harsh
Yeah the engine could be knackered but there's plenty of good 2nd hand engines you can hear running before you buy.
A good mate of mine ran a business for 2 years where he...
I think you can get them from halfords - they're just a 14mm o-ring
You can buy them from renault direct but they charge about £15 per injector for a seal kit lol
I've been having a weird missfire on the Clio for a while now - holding the throttle at a steady 50/60 it sort of "coughs" every so often like it's missing
Now when I fitted the ITB's I fitted them with the fuel rail and injectors from the 182 as it was lower mileage - but one of the...
Yup you have to let him put it right or all your legal rights go out the window
I'd be suggesting that he needs to buy a £400 engine off here and drop it in for you
Immobiliser fault - there's a few helpful threads about it around

Re: Renewal price LOLZ (it's worth haggling)
I think you mean underwriters - not insurance companies.
The brokers price from the underwriter is 99% dictated by the volume they put through. Flux are a far bigger company than Green Light. Flux will get a far better rate than Green Light. Flux...
Agree fully with northloop and others
I've had eibach/bilstein/kw v2's - the KW's are superb for track BUT by far the best thing I've one was refresh all the bushes and tie rods
New arb bushes, wishbone bushes (powerflex), new bottom ball joints, inner tie rods, outer tie rods
Pure...
There should be a ton of threads about it
It's a very good idea
Less weight, less unsprung mass, better handling, cheaper and more available tyres
All the track cars run 15's
Re: Renewal price LOLZ (it's worth haggling)
That's the bit that boils my piss the most - I'm insured with the same underwriter as Flux insured me with but for half the price. So I know just how much Flux bend people over
Ooooh didn't know there was a renault part - wouldn't mind one of those for my gauges as the ebay one was a shocking fit
I had to trim it down top and bottom to get it in lol
