Not a yozza one mate. a scorpion one. bought it brand new about 2 weeks ago. Too much for me lol!.
It was £64 brand new, its still shiny! lol, £40 delivered?.
yeah but its the grinding noise that changes when you turn the wheel and the fact that the pulley on the pump is wobbling and not running straight sways me towards the pump lol
dan if you could give me a quick run down on the best way of doing it. I presume the bumper and alternator have to come off? Do i have to faff about with the engine mount and lower the engine or anything?
sounds like fun, its deffo the pump as you hear it changes sound when you move the steering wheel. Its making a very subtle grinding sort of sound. I'll try get a video up
Just looked at a diagram it must be the PAS pump not the water pump. Its the one below the alternator. I didn't think pas pumps were prone to failing. Maybe I'm just being paranoid lol.
how hard is it to do a water pump on a 182? I thought the car was making a strange noise yesterday when I looked under the bonnet to see where its coming from it sounded like the water pump and the pulley isn't running true when the engine is running. It looks like its fractionally buckled if...
very clever lol i can only put it down to it being a higher pitched sound rather than a low down boomy sound. While we're on the subject Fred (sorry to hijack the thread) is there any way to stop the engine management light coming on after the decat was fitted? I cleared the fault code but it...
I agree Fred, I couldn't stress this enough to people at the orpington meet i went to on sunday. Its not that loud in the car unless your booting it. And i'm sure they found it hard to believe after hearing it from outside. But it is very loud outside when giving it some, one of the guys...
i'll try get some at the weekend, anyone had the engine management light come on after the decat was put on? Mine came on, i cleared the code but its back again. I thought the toxic light would come on.
It was good to meet some more local people. Enjoyed the convoy up.
Good quote from Arney, "Is that loud enough?, I was driving behind you and it was giving me a headache" lol!
I've done about 250 miles now, and it seems to be getting a bit better. I know the ecu has to adjust to new mods. I had a blast on the way home earlier and I gotta say I loved it lol. I'm gonna leave it on for now and see how I get on. The only thing I don't like is the police in the next county...
after going on a few drives i think the cat is going to go back on lol, don't get me wrong the decat sounds good but the car feels slower, maybe because its smoothed out the 5k kick it just doesn't feel as aggressive, and i just think the yozza with a decat sounds too much for what the car is...
No-one can really answer this tbh without hearing your exhaust. It depends how loud your exhaust is already. Yes it will be louder with a decat but the only real way to determine weather its too loud or not is to try it.
