Should be a fair chunk cheaper than the M3 was, probably a bit more than the FRS due to age I guess.
Might take you up on that in the spring dude, appreciate it :)
I'm unsure on wether to get myself another machine polisher and some kit and get it sorted myself for the enjoyment and sense of achievement, or just wait until the spring and pay someone to do it….!
This is the first car that's put a smile on my face like my old 182 did 5/6 years ago!
Insurance transferred over this evening when I got home from work so first drive with owning it properly, and what a machine! Everything feels just right, the noise is unreal! In my opinion sounds so much better than the M3 and the RS, even with the roof up!
Much quicker than it seems when you...
Welcome to your opinion mate, and the BMW is a better daily car, I had it for 15 months. But now I want a 2 seater convertible and a van for work, so that's the new plan.
Yes I have wasted time and hopefully not any money by getting the FRS, but at the time I wanted 1 vehicle to do everything...
It's not quicker by any means, just a different experience.
I had a 113k mile, 11 year old M3, they are allowed to have a few problems last time I checked?
The FRS wheels no-one would have spotted.
And I should have this longer than a month.
My most sincere apologies for not keeping a car for...
Thanks dude.
Will be sending you a present when it's all sorted too to say thanks for the help :)
Thanks mate. It was a choice between a spot on 986, or a ropey early 987 money wise so decided on this route.
It is a little dated inside but still perfectly acceptable in my opinion!
So with having some problems with the Focus and not being happy with it, it will be going back to the c**ting garage I bought it from, hopefully sooner rather than later.
When I bought the Focus I cleared the garage out for it, and ever since it was playing on my ind a little that I could have a...
Gave the RS it's first clean today since the rain was holding off a little.
Decided to give the XJS a bit of a run out since it looked like it was going to stay dry, but within minutes of it being out the garage the heavens opened, so it returned back to the garage for another day!
Focus now...
Cheers mate. Broomfield College in one of the car parks.
Fuel wise about the same as the Beemer, low-mid 20's, 5mpg with the foot down!
Standard at the minute mate. Planning to do a few bits to it, would love the JS400 for £2.6k but to be honest I want a daily driver before I go down the route...
Fair enough on the wheels.
First bit of good news, back right wheel is cracked quite badly on the inside! So got a new one on order and hoping the garage will be reimbursing me!
Had a bit of a mess around with it today, kitted the boot out with a boot liner etc. Tried to sort my ipod out in it but ended up going with a memory stick for now.
Slowly getting a list of little bits and bobs I want to buy for it so will probably treat myself a bit over christmas!
Couple of...
Downsides? I don't think there is to be honest. Maybe initial speed off the line but other than that I think it's literally better in most ways that matter to the normal person.
Black interior pack? Tell me more..!
Cosmetic wise I'm happy with it so far, the black all ties together quite well...
So I had a bit more of a play with the car this afternoon and sorted a few bits out. All in it's an amazing car!
I love the attention it gets too, had 3 people in the petrol station tell me how good it looks which is always nice.
It seems better on fuel than the M3 by a good way, and it...
I've been using GoCompare for a few rough insurance quotes come renewal time on various cars I've been looking at, and each time I get a quote for ANYTHING there is a company called MayFairOnline that quote £477.00 every time!
So going from a 182, FRS, Evo8, R34 GTR, 996 turbo, C63 AMG, RS4...
