You had a lucky miss mate, still want it?!
They are, but I don't think I'll have any problems as they're in proper lenses. If I do it's 2 mins to swap them over so no worries.
Does need a clean but had the 200 miles back to go so never bothered, bit chilly too!
Went up to see some relatives so took a few snaps of the 172.
Great journey overall, a bit more wind noise the my old 330 but much smoother ride, no back ache and more fun on the back roads.
Only downside was 34-37mpg on a 200 mile steady run at 70-80, was expecting over 40 easily so will have...
Have just downloaded a couple of albums but want to put them on CD for my van, how do I do it?!
Alos have windows installed on my macbook, tried to do it through Win media player but doesn't like the file types??
I got Harpham to polish my 330 Matt, more than happy with the results from it, but like Mick said be careful of the groping. He good me a couple of times before I could lock the doors!
Sold the 182, bought a DC2 integra, then an R26, then a 330ci and now just bought an old ph1 172 for some track day fun!
You still up in ilkeston mate?
Sticker should be coming off tomorrow!
The keen eyed might notice the drivers wing mirror smashed off and cling filmed too, was like that first thing this morning :(
Screwed it back on solid so just need a mirror cap and new piece of glass.
Bit more work on the car today, replaced the rear brakes with some new discs and pads from Tom at Wests Renault.
Ones on the car were absolutely fucked! And the bearings were rumbling a bit.
Then took it to Sainsburys finest jet wash and gave it a quick whip over:
Next jobs to do -...
Seat will be up for sale over the weekend.
Done a bit more driving today and not sure I can get on with it.
New rear discs and pads, and front discs have arrived so thats the weekend sorted. Next up is new front pads and tyres, then track days will be booked.
Got my subframe through today so fitted my Imola after work.
Bit of a trial fit as I want to fit some better bolts and neaten it all up but it fits and works and feels awesome!
Not as tight as I first thought so might be keeping it.
Will be staying road legal, not going full on racing spec.
Hence the brackets in the title ;)
The above price includes the car, bucket seat, steering wheel, new brakes, throttle cable etc.
I've not got it to be as cheap as possible, but if I can have it sorted for as close to £2k as possible...
Picked the car up from Paul (Harpham) last Saturday and got a fair bit planned for it.
Few pictures of it as it stands now, on 66k miles:
First mod was an OMP wheel to replace the shagged standard one:
So much better!
I did make the long drive to Gloucester to buy an Imola bucket...
