TDF have a great deal of experience in running these clios so whatever solution they come up with I'm sure it will meet the high standards that the rest of the car is at.

My premiums are continuely going down (touch wood) although I am not looking to protect my NCB. When I say cup I mean a 172 btw. :)
I live in the safest post code in the U.K.
Tips for cheaper insurance are:
Shop around, a lot!
Put parents/GF on as named drivers
Try and get a multi-car policy
Park it on the street also lowers insurance for some strange reason.
No mods
Up the excess to lower the premium.

Handling is completely different to lap time. MX-5's have brilliant handling but are pretty slow cars.
I have driven back to back on Raceland/K-tec coilovers and a standard Trophy. Trophy handled much better.

What slicks are they? Slicks life span is not measured on 'tread' or how much rubber is on them. Its measured by how many heat cycles they have done. Most slicks give up the ghost after about 6 heat cycles. Buying second hand slick is silly imo.
