Sonny dont even attempt out the top tbh mate, I had a look at it while doing that last box and its a near impossible task without scratching/braking everything. Disconnect the ball joint on passenger side, shaft out, all frame bolts out incuding the pinch bolt for column, dog bone mount, gear...
Mines is the wrong way then, set up pretty mild by ktec. Davemacprops.com gripper uk agent recommended that oil for a gripper diff wether its suitable for a jc5 I'm not sure.
Nice one, look forward to first race videos and write up. Afaik or I'm led to believe my diff is 30/65 ramp and and 14/60 FD which I presume is 4.28 meaning a good bit lower/closer than yours. How extreme did you go with the ramp angles and how do you find it? Also did you go with recomended...
All the pulleys fine? Lower arch liners fitted and so on. It looks like its broken off whatever then been caught and bent over as there looks to be stress lines in 1st and 3rd pic.
Yeah check wishbones over
My current Cup came with these fitted, it was hard to spot on the car when on stands too.
Also on the same car it had been left with a slack wishbone bolt which had eaten away at the subframe, the car was scary to drive above 50mph when I got it.
Its not long broken whatever it is, can't imagine anything coming from behing the pulley its just your block. Do you have pictures of where it was pulled from?
Pretty ridiculous considering they won't be much different to a 1*2, zinc coated is just mild steel. If you can stretch to stainless I would, especially if you plan to keep/your car. Goodridge offer both types and company's like HEL, Matt Lewis racing might offer options too.
Can you say that in English please?
I'm pretty sure your meaning you can download films to an iPad via a website?!? Pretty pointless when travelling and poor/no wifi is about. Is there any way to take it direct from a hardrive/memory stick irrelevant of the format its stored in and play it on a...
Yeah I have Ace player to do that but never tried it out yet. TBH I don't think it will ever be easy to do unless you buy from iTunes which is exactly what Apple want.
I thought I would keep this up to date for my reference.
I have since replaced all 3 aux belts as air con belt was making noise and I also replaced an 02 sensor which has improved the fuel economy a bit, I'm now seeing about 18-19mpg on a tow at 70ish.
Its in for its MOT and due new tax at...
Wash your mouth out....genuine tools ONLY can do the job right. Most on here are incapable of thinking how they could be done any other way.
I did the tippex thing first time I done one, just a habit for reference from doing loads of other belts.
Yeah any good manufacturer of braided hoses (goodridge being one of the best) and if your budget allows then buy the stainless ended ones as they last longer than the steel type.
Throw on some hoses and new fluid too (George supplies ate super blue) it will make a world of difference and change the feel in combination with the new disks/pads. 1 litre will be enough for a full flush.
Wouldn't worry about it, insurance accessors in the past have failed to notice exhausts, springs, wheels and other small mods I have had fitted to cars. Its a 4k car max at the end of the day and they will look at it from across the yard if its smashed and say yeppp that's a right off and...
