Decided to give the DC2 a quick clean for some photos on my new camera.
Be selling it sometime in the new year when I work out what I want, need to sort a few bits first. Not bad for 103503 miles though.
Re: Whats this Clio worth?
Cool thats what I though. He wants £5.5k roughly. Valueing my DC2 at £4.5k, which is a shitter really, but wanting to get rid so what can you do.
Whats this Clio worth?
It's an Arctic Blue 2004 04 reg with both cup packs on 47k miles.
FSH history + cambelt etc.
Tax - March
MOT - Oct 2010
Standard other than ablueflame cat back.
Might be doing a deal with my DC2, but wondering what people would value it at?
Apparently mint inside, and...
They do insure normal cars, but because they specialise in modified cars thats where they beat others, by a country mile. I saved £350 on my Lupo nd £480 on my 182 having them modified through flux.
Which meant for me, standard car with direct line or whatever would have cost me £2300...
Its not rubbish at all.
He's probably with Flux/Greenlight etc insured through a company who specialise in modified cars, therefore it has to be non standard.
Did the same with my Lupo and 182, insurance was hugely cheaper for being modified.
I would say thats been in a front ender.
I'm sure they arent standard grilles, and the ST lights will be cheaper than RS lights as the indicators are in the bumper. Plus it's too cheap for a straight car.
ST170 headlight upgrade.
My mate paid £8300 for a 53 reg one a few months ago, was shagged but HPI clear when he bought it (did a check at the sellers house with RAC) went to sell it after 3 weeks as he didnt like it came up CAT D, had to sell it for £6k.
I'd be wary, spend more on a minter...
I've done 150ish mph on my R6 once, never ever again!
The power of bikes is just insane, nothing beats the thrill of the acceleration, but I stick under 100mph now, just no point loosing my licence or my life.
Looks nice. Perfect for cruising and pimping around in!
My dad had one in that colour last year, got a really light blue one now.
Can't wait until he goes away again so I can have it for a while :D
Awesome!
Dropped osme bits off to a bodyshop I've decided to use earlier on for my bike, and noticed a cheeky white 200 with a cage! Asked about it he showed me around it, then realised it was a proper cup car.
Stupid low, cage is a work of art, everything is amazing!
He's got 3 to spray...
Wrong.
Every major tyre manufacturer recomends new tyres on the rear of the car.
Due to what has already been mentioned about correcting oversteer being a lot harder than understeer.
Places such as Costco (or at least the one I use) refuse to fit new tyres to the front of the car.
It has...
Look in the traders section on here for Opie Oils, will probably have the offer in there. Gives a discount code, coupled with CS discount when you join up.
Not sure if it's the cheapest, but Opie always deliver super quick and I've never had any problems, so regardless of price within reason...
Thats mint dude!
I want something like this next year once I've put my R6 back together and theres room in the garage!
Used to have a DR250, was an absolute truck but never broke! So damn heavy though!
AST's arent all that, I was impressed with build quality but just didn't seem anywhere near worth their money.
KW's are the s**t, I would go for them over any other set.
Forks off today, along with footsets, front wheel etc and a few other bits and bobs that will be replaced/powdercoated/sprayed.
Need to get the tyres off and bearings out of the wheels so they can be done. Was going to replace the head bearings but I've been sent the wrong ones :(
Looking good!
Made a huge difference just claying/tar remover to the car, but has come up really nice with the SRP & EGP. Lovely colour!
Everytime I work on a clio I miss my 182 so much more :(
Too much money and effort for no huge gain I don't think.
Rather spend that money on beer and prostitutes!
Should hopefully have the wheels and forks off to be sprayed this week.
Thought I should revive this now I've decided to crack back on with it!
Just buying a few tools to help with the job then I will be going at it full pelt.
Wheels will be off for powdercoating (black)
Few bits and bobs probably going off for powdercoating too.
New headset bearings
Wheel...
Just take them off?!
Would be better just riding on the bumpstops to be honest though.
Just go steady with it, I would cut almost through the spring, then get a long chisel and big hammer and just t**t it whilst being away from the arch as much as possible. Thinking about it I actually very...
So we're thinking not write off?
I was assuming that it would be a fair bit of labour and parts etc on a £3.5k car, 60% being £2100. The quarter panel is HUGE so can't be cheap.
Wheel is scuffed all up the face so needs replacing really.
