    Well it's just ruling out an immobiliser issue due to possible low key fob battery voltage at the minute. What's the car battery voltage like?

    Nah, can do it yourself. It's one of those round cell batteries. Either a CR2016 or a CR1220. You'll have to open the key to find out.

    Why did you wash it. It's asking for trouble. Need to make sure everything is dry and maybe a bit of WD40 on every wet connection to drive the water out.
