I found the complete opposite of this worked well. Gradual early braking kept the peddle more constant and the braking performance more constant too.

Get them hot but do it gently and than let them cool down fully as well. Simples

Getting a very good reputation especially with drifters who use them for sticky front tyres. A little bit behind a 888 in the dry but better in the wet making them a very interesting choice for road use as well.

WOW! I bet its at least 10kg lighter now.

Id just change the pads and see how you get on. Brake fluid and braided lines may be useful. As for tyres if budget is no problem than go R888 if you want to save some money than go for Federal 525 RSR track tyre.
