Glad to hear they are all good mate.
Noticed a difference through the corners?
I used the money to brim the tank and went for a massive thrash, good times! I'm starting to warm to the exhaust a bit now!
Gray I'll take you for a spin sometime in it!
Chrispy, not stripped no, I think my head would pop!!
Its just a 182 Yozza exhaust, think its a Ktec decat, all the same though so brand doesnt really matter.
Had my car on a diagnostics yesterday, said my Pre cat lambda was mashed, just replaced it and the light is still on.
Does it need to be cleared on a machine again, or will it take a certain amount of time to turn off etc?
Nah, the economy is s**t, and i think it is causing my limp mode problems, and hopefully may fix the occasional misfire that it has!
Only fault that logged at my service today so should solve them.
I have a friendly MOT'er, no need for cats!
Think it is staying now, I'll get used to it!!
Scared a few kids when I've blipped on downshifts ;)
Whitely, can't make the RR day, going to Amsterdam with the lads on Sunday!!
Thanks Mark, looks good.
I'll be going down there to get them set up once I have had them on for a bit and decided on whether I need stiffer springs or not!!
I had the rear seats down on the way home and parcel shelf out to fir the exhaust and AST's in the boot, so i'm hoping now they are up and in place again it won't be so bad.
Part of me is tempted to Dynamat the boot floor!!
Just rang Curtis, confirmed what I thought!
Can anyone who has these advise me how low I can go? Want to get the height about spot on before i put them on the car, how much thread should be left on the front and the back running it pretty low?
Also, can anyone recommend any damping settings...
I'm a bit confused about fitting the suspension....
Do the bearings etc go on top of this assembly:
Then this comes through the turret and this top plate holds it in:
Surely something else more substantial holds them in place that just the 3 adjustment allen bolts?
Catch up over the weekend or something?
Vids and pics will come at some point, sits really low though, brand new mounts and they have been packed up, cant get it any better.
s**t!
Didnt think it would be this loud!
Anyway to quieten it down without taking off the decat. the standard one scrapes everywhere so want to leave it off really....
Yozza in my oinion, bought one a few days ago and getting it fitted this morning. Apparently the millteks crack welds a lot and don't sit right etc, generally not excellent quality. However the yozza has excellent feedback from everyone, and looks very well made.
Might be best checking that then, as its easy to miss it and I did!
Get someone to sit in the car and turn the wheel while you check under the bonnet, might be something obvious.
No way is it lying, in the summer I easily got 36mpg on very short journeys to work.
Reading about 22mpg at the minute as i leave it running for 5 minutes in the morning to warm up/de-ice!!
Could be the brakes sticking a bit, maybe do a few high speed hard braking tests, might free it up a...
Looks to me like the top cup on the strut (on the underside of the car) isnt seated properly.
I had a similar problem albeit with the standard top mount when i fitted mine, then noticed what I had done.
The black cup in that holds the upper spring in place, the hole down the centre needs to...
I wouldnt have thought so provided you dont adjust the hub bolts on the bottom of the shocks.
Do you mean literally just the top cup and nut that is inside the engine bay, or all of the bearing etc that goes on the underside of the turret on top of the coilover?
Cheers for the replies
Icarus, not tried that, I've been trying to go steady on them to be honest but I'll do it tonight and try to clean them up.
Fitted them myself but I did note the mileage. Not that it matters.
I'm running redstuff front pads so I do need to get rid of them...
