No offence Phil but your car was a dog suspension wise with s**t tyres fitted from what I can gather in your posts but continued to complain about steering, suspension etc and that is why you have left yourself open to criticism on this I think.
Not at you Phil but related to your previous...
If you have to ask where to remove material you shouldn't be touching brakes bozothenutter, it could only be the edges of pads where they slide. I found the best way to bleed them was both nipples open and two bleed bottles on, get someone to pump the pedal and only lock off nipple when fluid is...
You have leek all over your gearbox? Surely that's not right.
Sounds like a rubbing hose thats burst on a more serious note. Easy fix, remove and replace.
They all screw into the gearbox. 2 that screw into the bell housing that secure the bracket "black bar" and then one bolt that goes upwards through the bracket and dog bone which is also bolted into the box, no captive nuts or nuts of any kind. There is then a bolt that attaches it to the...
Beaten too it ^^^^
You can't. If there's a lip on the wings you can cut that off and then fiddle with the bumper bracket where it touches with the bumper to push both out. Bit rough though. If you want 'Lowz Yo' then you will want loads of camber.
Nothing great tbh, I have been at home a grand total of 6 days since the beginning of April so not had the chance to do any work on it. I did manage to make some space and get it back from the painters 4 weeks ago.
I have at home now the proprtioning valve, carbon floors, GRP doors and the...
Mine all came out with the seal face flush or slightly inset from the outer face so yours too far in and too far out. Grease them too on the running face and make sure they are correct by checking the inlet one on the back of the dephaser prior to fitting.
I'm guessing that the engine has sat...
That's a really good price tbh for a bullet tipped stud and nut kit. Finer thread allows easier torquing of wheels but the difference will be negligible.
There visibly fucked lol, get someone that knows what there doing to measure up things as what you have described would indicate a bent or moved beam not anything to do with the hubs.
Ahrite okay, they might be a multi compound tyre.
I will just live with 3 deg camber for track and road I think, anymore and I'll kill them on the road quick.
Camber no, alignment yes. Fronts and back alignment is a good bit off tbh. Correct the front first and see how it goes, I run parallel on the front myself.
This ^^^
If your scrubbing outside of tyres it needs more camber.
On my car with new cup shocks and eibach sportlines I got heavy shoulder wear on the outside edge with road tyres and 3 degrees camber. I actually think it could be done with a bit more camber due to the roll you get on track if...
That's what I'm saying. I personally wouldn't have an aftermarket wheel as a standalone mod on a car, It would only be fitted on a track car so there would be associated mods fitted for track work and could be classed as a track car.
If you can claim the system has been removed I.e no light (blanked light) no air bags (replaced wheel) and no wiring (blag it) then there's no issue. They don't fail non ABS cars for an ABS fault because it isn't there so they can't test for it.
There is a cable inside the standard gearstick iirc or it might be a spring. Your reverse will always work okay its wether it can be selected when you don't want. There will be a spring inside this linked lever that keeps the reverse sleeve on the lever down untill you lift it to select reverse.
Basically Gripper is a plate diff with frictional plates (servicable) that lock the two shafts together under load and Quaife is a mechanical (no servicing required) diff that sends power to the wheel with the most traction. An open diff is what that comes in the standard car where it will spin...
They look to be the right one's. not sure how good they are though. If you type in Clio axle bushes on eBay there are loads including genuine parts, whatever suits your budget I suppose.
