You'll probably find all the 'lower end' of the price range Mk1s are dogs/damaged recorded or damaged and have crappy repairs. Was certainly the case when I was looking. You can't beat it for getting looks and sparking up conversations in petrol stations either heh. Dan

What do you base that on? Have you owned one? I owned a 206 XSi 1.6 16v for 3 years, and it was an excellent car for the money. Interior was nice, engine was fizzy, insurance and servicing were cheap as chips, it never went wrong in any way, it had loads of kit, it wouldn't do less than 30mpg...

Hehe yea :) Somehow I find the interior less noticeable in the Vee. Especially when the roads are greasy. Also, it kind grows on you and you learn to accept it after a while. So I guess now my perfect 197 would be a White, FF 197, with the Recaros and white paint. And the MP3 CD player. Not...
