The solenoid is what will be the problem - that's whats gone on mine
They don't like the heat of sitting next to the exhaust manifold so seize up - if you tap them with a hammer they usually start a few more times then seize up again
It comes out without removing the manifold or the driveshaft
Undo bolts from the top - go underneath and undo the wiring - then wiggle it out the drivers side of the manifold
Or so I've been told by 2 or 3 people - will be trying on saturday
The subframe off and manifold swap only took me 3...
Utter rubbish - I bought a 3 point earlier this year, fits fine
I think they just changed the design
Also the holes are the only way to adjust the stiffness - tightening the bars up makes no difference
I wouldn't worry too much about it - get one and whack it on the hardest setting and leave...
Half right
They're definitely not damped right and the springs are too soft for my liking
However the front coilovers go so low the car sits on the ground lol
The back are useless though - mines still too high on the back and the only choice I have now is remove the adjustors
I'm gonna have to say I'm not that impressed with them
Build quality they're very good - and obviously being able to adjust the height is handy - but the lack of damping adjustment really bugs me
And they are quite soft - certainly softer springs than my old eibach springs
If I was using the...
LOL not really mate no
Undo the power steering bottle (its just a clip) and move it forward in the bay
Pull the sound deadening forward and you can see where it goes through really easily
Just shove a screwdriver through it to make a hole then push the cable through - simples :)
"Hi is that K-Tec? Oh it is excellent. I was at your workshop last week having some matched inlets and parts fitted. I got a rolling road printout that showed I only got a 6bhp increase but I have no idea if that was at the wheels or the flywheel and I've lost the printout now but I'm fairly...
Well kinda - you just said you used the gromet - I thought I'd expand a little and explain you have to make a new hole in the gromet because if he's trying to shove it through the same hole as the bonnet release it'll never go LOL
POST THE f**king ROLLING ROAD PRINT OUT
I'm still willing to bet you're looking at wheel figures instead of flywheel figures
Oh and you're expecting help/advice from people who've spent a lot more than £2k on their car (my bodies cost that - my cage cost half that - my suspension cost half...
0AWG fits fine
The grommet where the bonnet release cable goes through has a flat blank section below the existing hole
The grommet itself is quite large but theres only a small hole through for the release cable
Just shove a screwdriver through it to make a new hole and push the cable through...
It wasn't you I was having a dig at - it's just that the OP has spent £500 trying to get 12bhp more out of his car - on mods that clearly will only give 5-6bhp on a good day. Now you've posted up your strong engine figures hes asking how to get that
Stop fecking caring about what peak power...
