Have a look for a local motor club and pop there, quite often people would love to have help on events.
Britishrally.co.uk also has a section where people can offer services etc
Sprints and hillclimbs is also something to look into to help out etc, not just race and rally
Had a chat with AA bloke and Transporters are uncomfortable and break down more often than others.
Vivaro/trafic/primastar are good all rounders.
Transits are most reliable apparently but crap on fuel etc.
I currently have to sometimes drive a new shape Trafic and it drives very well, is nippy...
It will be bit of a reluctant sale but in all fairness I did build it knowing I would be selling it at some point after I had done the Manx.
It would be nice to do some more events in it this year. We shall see.
(Anyone want to advertise on a Clio stage rally car pm me lol)
I would love to do more rallies but I have ran out of cash at the moment. I will probably sell the car and do stuff with the kids instead (which was the plan before I built it)
I would like to do Mull so if I keep it and find some money I will do that, other option is to sell it and hire mates...
Don't need a main dealer to plug it in, just someone local to you with a reader to get the codes.
Someone on here will either have one or know of someone with one.
Worst is welding rusty old banger racers and having a big blob of splatter go down the front of your boots and stop on the top of your foot!
Surprising how quick you can get a boot off!
Could be a good challenge and another box to tick.
So far I have done......
Road rallies
Stage rallies
Rallycross
Sprints
Hillclimbs
Comp safaris
Landrover trials
So perhaps endurance racing is next!!
I didn't have a good seeding that day so got held up a bit by a mini on the merges, would have probably got 2nd in class instead of 4th as I was only 4 seconds off.
I should sell the car now really as ive ticked the manx box which was my plan but fancy doing something else so we shall see. It's...
Yes I've known Brandon for years, I used to codrive for him too. Bcs on the bonnet as he lent me his van to go across to the IOM.
I did the Adgespeed stages rally in it this year.
If you went to sprints there, that would have been me my old car.
