Check with the sprint rules as depending on what class you go in can have an impact on what tyres you can run (msa list 1a is a road tyre, msa list 1b is a track tyre)
3 weeks to go. Looks like another case of Lastminutemotorsport.com
I was hoping to get up to watch and marshal but wife is working that weekend so it's a no go.
My manx codriver Angus Williams owns tobermory-campsite.co.uk if you need somewhere to stay
Suppose I had better update with what I did to the car before I went to the Isle of Man.
It was mainly electrical stuff for the extra lighting.
3 new Relays, wiring and switches for the Gas discharge lamps and the LED light bar.
New relay and codriver foot operated switch for horns.
New LED...
Turbo have a cc x1.5 multiplying factor in sprints and hillclimbs which is a bit more equal than the cc x1.7 in rallying.
It means the renault 5 turbo's compete in the under 2000cc class and I had some great battles with them in my clio.
Standard class is standard. Standard tyres
Road modified is a complete car (interior, radio, tax mot etc) but can do throttle bodies, lsd, lower CWP, coilovers etc, but not solid topmounts, wheel spacers and a few things like that. Some places are standard tyres, others can use like track tyres...
yeah its 250+bhp, big wheels, big suspension, big brakes etc etc. Its a proper bit of kit but reliability does seem its downfall. And yes he is a good pilot and hell of a nice bloke too.

Was getting my arse kicked by a suzuki swift (bit like a works car as it is Jamie jukes who owns Spencer sport that also run Tom Cave), but he broke down so I won, beating an Astra, Golf gtis, and a Seat.
First time there, first closed road tarmac rally, 2nd time ever on pacenotes.
I competed on the Manx International Rally in this last week and finished 68th overall and 1st in class.
I will get some pics up etc when I get chance.
Have you fitted some to yours @STEVE.M
I ordered a ds21 for mine yesterday after i asked for that part number and the bloke was an arse saying it wasn't listed for my cup, and there wasn't a shaft listed for mine.
(It was the same bloke from the other day who said they didn't do them, not Lee)...
Rotors are right on the limit and would need new pads too so decided to go back to standard setup with the ds1.11 pads as it is the cheaper option and I can sell the AP setup to fund the Manx.
Probably sell that rear beam I had off you too as I'm using the one that was on the cup shell.
Bit of an update.
I now have a new codriver for the manx rally, and so the car has advertising for tobermory-campsite.co.uk on it to go with the RTR parts advertising.
The red wheels are getting painted a different colour.
I used the car last weekend giving passenger rides at the Asda On Your...
Have you got the key in it while you are pushing the buttons?
It has to be in and turned (can't remember which setting) to be able to push in the buttons.
