I also made a mount that clamped to the seat for track days and competitions so tended to use that as it shows the driving more than just a front view. I only occasionally used the dash one. Works well facing backwards too
Autograss racing rather than banger racing isn't as damaging thesedays as they have tightened up the rules a bit.
If you want to go racing, its certainly something worth looking at and doesn't break the bank unlike the MSA ruled events that require everything to be dated/homolgated etc.
Have a...
Just remember Rallyx is a glorified more expensive version of banger racing.
Be prepared to have a damaged car at some point
It didn't come home looking that tidy, or as long as that!
(Although I will say the racing bit was good fun, but it was £300+ for a total of 12 miles + the cost of a...
I always put a reinforcing plate in first, larger than the base plates/boxes etc as one comment I was told by a scrutineer years ago was the boxes had just seen welded straight to the floor and when it crashed it pierced through the floor.
Is the fuel pump priming?
Pull the line off the inlet and check for fuel, otherwise check the multi plug to the rear of the car that's in the passenger footwell as the fuel pump wiring goes from that to the fuel pump.
Yes I would definitely prefer the harness bars to be like this cage, which is pretty much like my photo.
Could SD check to see why there are differences between the test cage and the one in Hyperhatch car @SafetyDevicesDaniel
My only potential issue looking at those pics is the harnesses to the bar not being able to taper in towards each other.
Where they are fitted onto the bar in the pic, the rear diagonal cuts across it and stops them being closer together which is required now with the use of hans devices.

As I have built plenty of stuff in the past, I can totally relate to them as to the time it takes to do the fiddly jobs. Like he was saying on the video, it's a case of the 20 minute looking jobs do take 4 hours. There are a lot of little things that take lots of time and unfortunately they are...
I cant see there being any issue as all you are doing is changing the upper column to rack for one that has the electric assistance and ecu to control it. Pretty straightforward to do too.
Fit an epas column on along with the original hydraulic pas.
You are not changing anything on the original pas side of things, but does it say anything about adding extra assistance?
Lol, I partexd my (boring 1.6) megane when the indicator bulb went as it was another electrical issue I couldn't be bothered with. I looked at doing it but chopped it in instead.
I originally had AP calipers and 295 - 300mm rotors under my 15" wheels. (I turned them down slightly) They have worn a bit too thin so I went back to standard and did a deal on some ds1.11 pads, brembo high carbon discs and have had no issues. Thought it would have had a bit of fade on the...
172 cup, first used on road rallies, then sprints and hillclimbs - Sold
172 in Black. Bought with a knackered engine. Stripped it to build as a rally car until I got the offer of the Cup shell. Sits on my drive under cover acting as a storage system for the spare Clio bits ive got.
172 Cup...
