OK cheers edde. My mate works at halfords so I'll see if he can get me any discount on them.
Is it worth changing the fluid then, how much extra would it cost? At the end of the day the car is just a normal everyday runner so would the extra costs give me any increased benfit over the set up now?
Yeah thought about it, but even some uprated pads would make them a bit better without breaking the bank. Can you get standard discs from halfords for dirt cheap, sure I've read that somewhere!
^ it is a bit of a drive but at the same time I think it's very worth it. Especially with some of the horror stories you read on here about dealer services etc.
Do a search for Birchdown Auto Services mate, I've heard very good things about them and my car will be going there sometime soon for a service. VERY competitive prices, based in Leeds but still close enough for a good service.
PM SBV116 off here for a quote mate, you'll be nicely surprised!
Having my discs and pads changed at my next service and just wondered what to use?
Don't drive my car stupidly hard so wondering if standard discs and maybe some uprated pads will be a bit better? Obviously cheap as possible but I don't want to buy anything that isn't quality if you know what...
Just checking, thse springs will fit my 2004 1.2 16v clio won't they?!...

Edit - link doesn't work, how can I get it to?!
I'd bite his hand off at that mate, I have the exact same car, even down to the mileage and that is a good buy to be honest. I'll be advertising mine private for more than that...!
Bore size needs to be 60.1mm for the hub, offset not sure, do a search for what offset a standard dynamique wheel is, then decide how much further out you want the wheel to stick.
Need a bit of help from someone in the know please...!
I want a new TV and home cinema thing for my room:
- 32" (Has to be HD but not too bothered about 1080p whatever that is)
- 2 HDMI Ports ( Do I need 1 for surround sound and 1 for xbox 360/ps3?)
- Wall mountable
- Built in freeview

They could mate, 4 x 100 is right, ET20 is low, but not stupidly low so might fit depending on camber and how much you could stand highering the coilies....plus the centre bore may be on spigot rings so could fit with the right ones (cost pennies).
Email him back and get him to be more specific...
They can come in 4 x 100 PCD, but the centre bore is usually 57.1mm (E30 BMW's and mk1/2 Golfs) so this can be bored out to 60.1mm for a bit of cash.
Then they normally come in low offsets, ET30 etc, but the bearing face can also be machined down to make it something like ET37 or something...
