I've had my 172 cup for about 18months now - bought it as a replacement for my 106 gti (I had 106's for 8 years before the Clio)
I liked it as a daily drive - had leather recaro's and leather rear seats and it was a good little car
Did the 'ring in it and did a mid 9minute lap and again had...
No no no no no it's SUPERB
There's a lot of stuff you can do with it which takes a bit of getting used to - but for track photos my mind was blown
Whack it on Servo AF and let it select it's own AF Points - holy s**t
Panning photos of BTCC cars and every single one was pin sharp - it's insane
Huh?
Chrome is awesome - it never crashes, it kicks every other browser to pieces if you're a web developer/designer - and I'm running it fine in Lion? LOL
Well in that case if they've done a geometry setup on knackered ball joints I'd be taking it back and asked for it checked - they shouldn't have done it on knackered components :(
How is going from a 40D to a 550D a sidestep?
Digic 4 processor, full HD video, over double the screen resolution - just the tip of the iceberg
*sigh*
Also if you're not noticing any difference between a 7D and a 450D then I'm fairly gobsmacked
I've had 1000D, 450D, 500D, 50D (was AWESOME)...
Have you got adjustable camber bolts? or adjustable top mounts
If not then the camber/caster isn't adjustable on your car anyway - so all they will have checked is the toe in/out (tracking)
Debatable
If you're old ones are completely shagged then the wheel won't have been sitting right on them which can affect tracking
Not a massive amount but with all suspension stuff I'd get a quick geometry setup after fitting them
There are a few tutorials for making a bootable lion - but they aren't supported by apple and based on pre-release code
I don't see the point - takes about 5 minutes to do a full clean snow leopard install and anyone with broadband will hardly have a problem with going on the app store and...
Yeah the coloured discs that come with macs are locked to a specific hardware setup and won't work on any other mac
Lion when it comes out is download only and Apple have confirmed you won't be able to do a blank install with it - you have to install Snow Leopard first and then install Lion...
Agree with the road comments
Mines only got 2degrees of camber and bilsteins/cup racer suspension setup and it's a nightmare on the road
Trying to make a track car that is also driveable on the road is a silly compromosie
I've done mine with 4AWG - which is about 22mm squared
This is what the auto-electricians recommended for a 172 alternator
Runs fine - starts easy, charges fine. Put a fuse either end of the cable - cost me about £50 for the cable, connectors properly done (not home-crimp s**t), heatwrap...
Love the lighting and the model looks good
Not keen on the HDR style editing on the 3rd pic though - it makes her skin look really patchy
Other than that though superb!
Wait... so you took a perfectly good 172 cup - painted it up in lairy colours that no-one would want - and now you're selling it?
Why didn't you just take a wad of cash and flush it down the toilet - would have saved time ;)
It's just a single wire that goes to the switch
I've got it on show in mine as no carpet etc... I just taped it to the floor to stop it moving around
What do you need to know?
In my opinion if you want a strut brace and top mount setup - go for the pure motorsport one
See here -> http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?586855-Top-Mount-and-Strut-Brace-Package-PH2-group-buy
It's pretty much an exact copy of the cup racer setup
Thanks Chris - I suspect my toe is miles out as I lowered the car on the coilies and never got it re-setup DOH
Been a while since I've updated - and it's been a nightmare to be honest
Bought a full set of powerflex bushes (wishbones and ARB), new ball joints, and a Pure Motorsport solid top...
Looks awesome that mate
Do you mind if I ask - are you running spacers?
I've got the palmersport 2118's and they sit a fair bit in from yours
Is the cage a custom one?
This doesn't sound right at all
With the rs tuner remap the time before full revs is allowed is lowered - mine is around 2 minutes - definitely not 10
Mine idles a lot better with the remap on - no stuttering at all
Are you sure you've loaded the performance map on it and not just updated...
It works well for photography like yours - 4 or 5 very nice shots and a bit of a blog post
Not so nice if you go to the nurburgring and come back with 200 photos you want to host somewhere
Though saying that 500px wouldn't be ideal for that either BLEH
There's a whole in the market for a...
