Make sure both sides are jacked up first that'll make it a lot easier. Then just give it a few good pushes down and have a bolt ready to go in.

As the Mac disc the ones with the five ^ kind off marks? I don't mind changing pads quickly. Think it only took 20 minutes, but discs can through up all kinds of issues if the caliper falls and stretches a brake line etc... I'd much prefer the HC as they are plain. I may take you up in that...

Harder springs will make it understeer more as suspension has no give and just pushes the tyre rather than the weight on the suspension if you get me?

V6 Clio and 172 are nothing alike. I'd be taking it to a proper specialist recommended on here. Plenty of people have let a mate do it to only come back with problems of a slow car, failed cambelts etc....

You don't want hard coilovers for track either. I always had the same problem at snetterton with the NSF tyre too.
