Possibly not, I was told between August and the end of the year, then out of the blue got an e-mail yesterday saying my 'account' had been upgraded, checked my speed and sure enough its gone up.
Yep, the biggest limitation I have on the Microserver is the 16GB ram, the SSD and Quad-Core Xeon will run as much as I want, its memory I run out of. Hopefully in future 32GB will be possible, but its not at the moment.

I can't imagine many people do as it's just not practical, you can buy additional filters for most of the mainstream cases these days, but tbh its no biggy to give it a hoover out / wipe over every now and then.
If you are mainly torn over size, you need to compare them yourself in person. I prefer the air but that's because I only use it at home, if I was out and about the mini would probably be better.

I know you shouldn't have to, but you do have the option of putting it in modem only mode and buying your own WiFi router (I have this for further functionality)
